Drove a few hundred miles in about 6 hours from NY to Maryland for my cousin's wedding. The traffic was terrible. Had the reception yesterday and today had the ceremony and party. Even though my cousin is a SW fan, he claims the date was pure coincidence. Nevertheless, members of the 501st Legion attended in costume (along with R2).

Just a follow-up to my post from the SW wedding. I came home last night after about four hours of driving from Baltimore to NY. This is an adorable picture I took with my family. Obvious because this is a public forum I've protected the faces. The little girl and boy are my cousin's children.

Took my son and a lovely young lady to the annual medieval fair so we could all shoot archery. She doesn't like dresses but when I told her she could wear a SW costume - Ada mad fan she said yes!!!

Went to Mass at a later time than usual. Big mistake, since it was First Communion for kids, and the church was more crowded than usual. Then relaxed the rest of the day, and watched Thor: The Dark World last night.

Took my car out on the highway to temper the new brake rotors with a series of high speed stops. Did not get rear-ended. Yay me.

Cleaned the kitchen, vacuumed the house, did two loads of washing and cooked dinner. Isn't my life exciting??

Installed an aftermarket internal waste gate actuator and a turbo blanket on my engine. Also finished tempering the new brake rotors according to the recommended procedure with a series of high-speed stops. Wow, this car stops on a dime!

Went looking for SW Clothes but found them too expensive. Came home and cooked a roast beef before folding a mountain of dry clothes and cleaning the kitchen up. Watched the rain finally arrive.

Went into Manhattan after work last night for a book signing. The event was supposed to start at 6pm, but the author showed up an hour late because apparently the flight from her previous signing was delayed.
