(Liberty Bell March begins to play, and the opening animation of "Monty Python's Flying Circus" appears. Suddenly the music screeches into halt and the animation is replaced by black screen with the following big-lettered notice)

Episode 1 ? How to recognise different parts of humanoid body

(cut to COUNT DOOKU, sitting behind a news desk, smiling pleasantly)

DOOKU:
Good evening, and welcome to the show. And now?

(cut to HOBBIE and WES, both dressed as old ladies, sitting in front of a small comm unit. A theme music begins to play)

ANNOUNCER:
And now the CBC (Coruscant Broadcasting Corporation) is proud to present a brand new radio drama series, "The Death of Amidala, Queen of Nubians". Part One: The Beginning.

MAN'S VOICE: (in a thick Scottish accent)
Yoo arrr Amidaala, Queen of Nubians?

PADMÉ'S VOICE:
I am.

(sound of violent blows being dealt, things being smashed, blasters fired, awful crunching noises, lightsabers clashing, bones being broken, and other bodily harm being inflicted. All of this accompanied by screaming from PADMÉ)

(music fades up and out)

ANNOUNCER:
Stay tuned for part two of the Radio Coruscant 4 Production of "The Death of Amidala, Queen of Nubians", coming up?almost immediately.

(music)

(sound of turbolasers firing and other violent sounds as before, with PADMÉ screaming. Suddenly it is silent)

MAN'S VOICE:
I think she's dead.

PADMÉ'S VOICE:
No I'm not!

(sounds of physical harm and screaming start again)

(music fades up and out)

ANNOUNCER:
That was episode two of "The Death of Amidala, Queen of Nubians", specially adapted for radio by Jango Fett and Jedi Master Kit Fisto. And now, Radio Coruscant 4 will explode.

(music)

(the comm explodes)

(the two old women ? HOBBIE and WES ? look at each other)

HOBBIE:
We'll have to watch the HoloNet!

WES: (agreeing)
Aaaaw.

(they turn their seats to face a HoloNet station)

HOBBIE:
What's that on top of the HoloNet station?

WES: (matter-of-factly)
Looks like a mynock. (pauses) It's been a long time there, now, has it?

HOBBIE:
What's it doin' there?

WES:
Standin'!

HOBBIE:
I can see that! (pauses) If it lays an egg, it would roll down the back of the HoloNet station.

WES:
Ummm. I hadn't thought of that. I didn't know mynocks could lay eggs.

HOBBIE:
Unless it's a male.

WES:
Yes. It looks fairly butch.

(pause)

HOBBIE
Per'aps it's from next door.

WES: (yelling)
Next door?! Mynocks don't come from next door

 

B-E-A utiful!

Great stuff! I loved Luke being the It's man! And the Jedi Knight song! And, well, come to think of it, I liked it all!

Dear Ms. Mar and Ms. Ish,

This story goes beyond all realms of previous incarnations of utter silliness and goes into the realm of raving lunacy. The amount of insanity present beats all previous records by about 180014865823%, and has now left me in a comatose state attempting to bring myself back from the verge of asphyxiation (Yes, whilst writing this letter, I'm multitalented). However, this is vaguely insulting that you have written a story that is so amusing, and I will therefore be complaining to all possible authorities in order to let them know that you have written the chapter that is so funny that it kills people when they read it. I fully expect that the army will arrive soon, translate it into all languages possible (One word each) and then employ it with deadly success in all the major wars in the next 300 years.
