Ghost Rider & Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance

The new trailer to the Marvel Comics adaptation starring Nicolas Cage is now online:

Unfortunately, I can't watch it because it requires Quicktime 7. But supposedly it will also play in front of X-Men: The Last Stand, so hopefully I'll get to see it on Friday.

 

That is considerably better then I thought it would be. Not to shabby actually.

 

Pulsar Skate actually saw them film it live at her work.

 

I'm in the boat as you since I prefer not downloading programs and such. Besides, I'll see it in front of a movie sooner or later.

 

The trailers look pretty cool. I'll see it again on the big screen when I see X3.

 

Holy mackeral, this looks laughably bad. He's a Skeletor pyromaniac on a motorcycle. Sam Elliot? Peter Fonda as the devil??? Okay maybe there is some reason to see this.

I think thats kind of cool actually, the original easy rider, somewhat apropos.

I've never actually read the comic either but from what I saw in the trailer its an accurate portrayal and I'm sure fans will be looking forward to it. Other then the really hardcore ones. I'm sure they'll find thousands of little things to nitpick on

 

I've been a Ghost Rider fan since I was a kid, and this looks awesome. I never in a million years woulda thought a Ghost Rider movie would actually get made. I'm really glad they've stayed true to his look in the comics. He's one of the few characters that looks almost the same as the comic as he does in the film. Can't wait to see it.

 

Not knowing what's in the trailer or much else about the film for that matter, I wonder if Peter Fonda's character is supposed to be Mephisto.

The problem for me is that Quicktime 7 is not compatible with my OS.

 

can't get the trailer to work for some reason but i'll probably see it in theaters. i don't know much about the character but i'll end up seeing the movie more than likely

Looks pretty cool. I have a feeling this my be a guilty pleasure of mine come February.

There's a shot in the trailer of him riding his bike next to the Old West version on horseback. Two flaming skeletons riding side-by-side.

No, that is completely understandable (what are you running Linux ). I was very upset when it first came out and I couldn't get it to run on my old 400 MHZ laptop. I just though the way that Hydra put it sounded funny

Yes, Fonda's character is Mephisto.

 

I'm running Windows ME on this computer.

 

I'm not sure how credible the character will look in the film. The skeleton looks pretty good, but I just don't really believe it. The fire around the bike is weaker imo. Eva mendes looks very similar to Connelly's character in Hulk, which is to say, pretty love interest that worries about the guy, and does very little else.

Hmmm. Can't say that I did. I got a "ouch that would hurt" feeling when he cracked his head on that tire though.
