I got 9 "Give me peace." Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992)and it inspired me to write a Jacen Solo piece.


Give me peace
That?s all he wanted for his child
That?s all he wanted for the galaxy
Give me a chance to see my child grow up in peace
That?s what he wanted when he began to dominate the galaxy

He had seen the turmoil battles brought to the galaxy
Aeons ago it had been no different
The old republic had crumbled when the Jedi didn?t see the dark rising

His grandfather wanted peace
He wanted to see his child live in peace
He wanted his child alive and his great love safe
He allied with a Sith.

His mother wanted peace
She had to cope with scheming politicians
Yuuzhan Vong, Killik brought galactic scale war

The Yuuzhan Vong killed his brother Anakin
The Yuuzhan Vong changed his sister Jaina, his father, his mother, him.

The Force had no dark or light side.
That?s what he believed
That?s what he used to become Darth Caedus

He wanted peace but got war
He murdered Mara
He tried to turn Ben
All were turning against him
In the end even his sister turned against him
She killed him

He had peace
He saw his brother again in the Force
He saw his daughter safe with his father and mother
It?s all he wants
Give me peace

So while watching Revenge of the Sith I usually find myself saying "Dammit, Anakin!" for being such a jerk when he could have been such an awesome Jedi.

Reading this poem I kept thinking "Dammit, Jacen!" for the same reasons.

It's funny, I don't blame Jacen himself because I think he was written so out of character. That's not the REAL Jacen who did that. I think he was replaced by a pod person during his travels in the Unknown Regions.

Agreed, although hind sight is 20/20... Wasn't there some fanfic to the effect that it was a Jacen clone of some sort who did all those terrible things, and when the real Jacen came back, he found a total disaster? Don't remember what it was called, but I have to agree, that couldn't have been the same Jacen who communicated with living things of all kinds, showed them kindness, etc. Although that Jacen was somewhat annoying (couldn't commit to any action because he just couldn't figure out whether the consequences were worth the action), the evil Jacen was even worse! Totally OOC.

Well, after reading your newest creation I need more time to think.



I would say you are an all-rounder after all.

 

What a wonderful response. Watching Jacen fall is just so tragic, and does remind me a bit of Anakin's fall in ROTS. Great job with the quote!

For me Jacen Solo is a nice character especially in the YJK books. And he deserves to be happy
