    why thankyou, sideshow...

once we've finished ANH in Glaswegian, I think PadawanSDM and myself might well sell it to Scottish television or Danny Boyle or somebody similar.

    Robert Carlyle as Handsome Solo
    Ally McCoist as Luke Sheepshagger
    Karen Dunbar as Princess Senga

and armies of computer generated neds and polis.............

MrDD - Me and my mates are going to ?Springfield Quay? as its closer to where we live. That is of course unless they aren?t doing a midnight show, then we might have to come into Glasgow city centre. Will know more once the tickets go on sale.

    ahhh
    Sideshow !

yeah, I agree that it is hard to come up with a plan till we know what cinemas are doing midnight shows...

as I work right next to that new big mad UGC thing at the top of Renfield St, I'll pop in and speak to the schedules manager within the next few weeks.....

habit suggests that the old Renfield Odeon is the place to go, as I saw both Empire and Jedi there for the first time.... but I don't know if they have still got their really big screen.

Whatever - when I find out about any midnight shows, I'll post the info here.

have you been to the Edinburgh exhibition yet?

I went to the exhibition in Aug 200 when it was in London. I will go and see it in Edinburgh but not till they add the AOTC exhibits.

As far as I know the tickets lines open up on Thur/Fri at 12:01. Was there not a report a couple of days back on TFn that said that the Odeon will do a midnight showing? If so I will probably be going to the Quay, but if not then the UGC sound sgood.

    BBC news website sez:::::

Star Wars fans in the UK will be able to see the latest instalment in the sci-fi drama ahead of the US.

Star Wars Episode II: Attack of Clones will be shown at screenings just after midnight on 16 May at selected Odeon cinemas. :D

The movie is simultaneously released across the Atlantic but the special screening time will ensure UK audiences see it at least five hours before the US due to the different time zones.

Odeon Cinemas head of marketing Luke Vetere said he is expecting huge demand for the midnight screenings.

He said: "Episode II: Attack of the Clones is a hugely anticipated film, especially as the Star Wars films have such a dedicated following.

"The first midnight showing will be an exciting event for all of us."

Tickets will go on sale on 12 April and the Odeon chain has taken on extra staff to cope with demand.
