Totally. The last two episodes have rocked my socks. The scene with Will and Terry last week was amazing. Then last night just kept getting better. Will and Sue in the hallway was unreal.
I expected him to slap her. Rachel nailed the Streisand perfectly. I wouldn't be surprised to see her get a recording contract out of this. This was an amazing episode. The emotion is huge.
I really enjoyed when Emma told the other teachers how it really was. You didn't expect that from her. Because she seems so meek most the times and not speaking up.
Yeah, Rachel's song literally gave me goosebumps. She'll be on broadway soon. I was just blown away with everything going on. The actors are really incredible. I loved Emma with those teachers, that was great. And her scene with Will was so great.
i thought about that one too. i guess you'll do things outside of your norm for love :tape duct tape rules!
I was yelling at the monitor last night, mostly telling Will that he only had 2 minutes left in the episode so he needed to hurry up.
Oh, yeah...well she'll be on Broadway AGAIN. Me too. I kept waiting for him to get out of the damn chair and get moving.
Nope, it is purely all them. Which is one of the things that make the show so great. I know me too. When he saw her from the end of the hall last night. I was yelling Run, Will Run. It made me teary eyed. So wonderful and great and ... SIGH.
So I've been looking it up and it looks like while the actors all sing, the songs are prerecorded, dubbed/synced, and combined with effects when it hits your TV. EDIT:
It doesn't matter if they do some tweaking to the soundtrack, the fact is that most of them can sing and sing very well. Matthew Morrison http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eKj-bKtvXO8 Lea Michele http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rngAIY-0ZoI Amber Riley http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWklR4sNMn4 edit - the link feature is driving me crazy.
The first one has been pulled. But anyway, it doesn't require a lot of time to go through YouTube to find evidence of the skills of many of the main cast. Yes, the songs on the show are scrubbed up so that they are better than the live version could have been, but they do that with other aspects of the audio also so it's not the biggest surprise. If they didn't, then there'd be complaints about the slightly lacking quality of the songs when the technology exists to make it better, so they can't win. From memory Murphy copped similar flack for his decision to ramp up some of the visual components on Nip/Tuck originally to highlight specific aspects. Just the usual from Critic-land.
The best finale of anything I've seen in a really, really long time. I don't think this show is going to last too long on-air, but I absolutely freaking love it. Curt is the best.
What was it of Kate? Another good one I've found is here. Mind you, if only I could find a good quality version of this.
It was Matthew Morrison singing Younger than Springtime from South Pacific. Yeah, I saw his version of Leaving on a Jet Plane too. That's really good. I also saw the Broadway Bares all clip too. I'm wondering if I get a big enough petition going if we can get a shirtless dancing scene in Glee. Oh, here's another good one of his performances here.
