The curse of the Billy Goat srtuck again.

Momentum down and the Cubs could not pull it off.

The Cubs should have won, Prior,Wood on the mound. But they did'nt due to the fact the fans were sceptical about them winning. And I as a fan was. Wood did not have his stuff with him tonight. He did better than an avarge pithcer; but did the presure get to him? I have nothing good to say about the Marlans just let my Rookie Cards of Miguel Cabbera go up. But an expansion team that won the Series once should not be able to beat a team that has not gone back since 1945.

I guess I have to so, We will do it next year.

In the words of Stan Lee..

    Nuff Said>

    Go Cubs

They wont, he will have to be under 250 during the spring, He will hurt his back, and the Padres will spend all that money for an overweight40 year old man to sit the bench, and get paid millons.....

I heard rummors that the Pads have talked to Greg Maddux's agent. I still would like to see him back in a Cubs uniform personally.

I think that the Dodgers will pick him up, they havn't picked up anyone, and this would make the most sense for them. I hope the Padres do, but then signing Wells is stupid........

I loath the Yankees. Talk says that Maddux is going to sign with them. If he does I will lose what little respect I have left for him.

The Yanks deny any interest in Maddux but what they say and what they do are two different things.

Too bad he's no longer with ATL. I sincerely hope that he still ends back up in Chicago, but money talks, especially in NY.

I think that the Yanks are just trying to up Maddux's market value and he will indeed sign with the Cubs. Here's how I think it will play out. The Cubs sign Maddux. The Cubs win the NL Pennant. The Cubs set a new record for most wins in a season. The Cubs get swept in the 4 biggest blowout games in Series history. :D
