So, I go to this massage place about two blocks from my apartment and recently (within the last few months) they've switched from more traditionally-Asian muzak to rolling in some other things... like Tears In Heaven.

This, of course, makes me think of JayPee while I'm naked and being massaged by small Asian women.

Clapton and Winwood kicked off their European tour in Birmingham.

Apparently Clapton reworked "The Shape You're In" to "The Shape I'm In." lol, that should be interesting to see, and I'm curious as to how he was able to rework the lyrics that so clearly referred to his wife. I can say that I never expected him to perform that song again.

I guess most of it could just be switching the pronouns around... and maybe eliminating the last verse. And it's funny, 'cause I seem to recall him removing references to drinking from some blues songs ("Kind Hearted Woman"), even if it's in a negative light. But a whole song about being a drunk is a-okay for him? Bizarre.
I took my baby to see a show.
She was telling me she didn't want to go.
I said, "Come on girl, what's the matter with you?"
But I could tell by the smell that she'd had a few.

I said hold on girl don't get too tight,
You started early and we've got all night.
You've got to take it easy, take it slow.
We don't want the whole world to know
    About the shape you're in.

Well, my little girl really loves that wine.
Wine will do it to her most everytime.
If it's red or it's white or it's in between,
She can drink more wine than I've ever seen.

Now I'm not trying to get heavy with you.
I'll mind my own business if you want me to.
But I love you girl, I don't love no one else.
I'm just telling you baby 'cause I've been there myself.

Was it reported anywhere other than whereseric.com? Cause maybe they just mucked up the title there.

Also, today in EC history... "1968 ? Cream tape their CBS-TV appearance for the Summer Brothers Smothers Show in Los Angeles. It airs in July."

    NAIL THE FROGS DOWN

The thing is that the song really hurt and humiliated Pattie at the time (she said as much in an excerpt from her autobiography), and Eric seemed to have realized that. Its content is not like that of "Layla" or "Wonderful Tonight." Personally, if EC were keen on digging up an obscure song about Ms. Boyd, I'd have preferred "Golden Ring." :p

Looks like most of the show is up - lovely sound too for an audience shot video

lol, whoever reported "The Shape I'm In" as a Money and Cigarettes song is an idiot. I would've been able to spot the mistake if I were more familiar with The Band.

"Split Decision" was a Winwood 80's song. :p

EDIT: Someone mentioned the ARMS version of "Gimme Some Lovin'" in the comments. Interesting.

jp I don't if this might be the case where you live but my movie theater is broadcasting the Crossroads concert. It's recorded and cut down to only 2 hours of footage but might be a good alternative if you don't have a webcast.

You sure it's not the 2004 or 2007 concert? I find it hard to believe they'd be able to edit it in a fairly short amount of time, unless they decide to just use the last two hours (which presumably involve Clapton's set).

It's from the 2010 concert. Here is a link to my companies website for the event. I don't think editing is a super problem. We are showing a recorded Metallica/Anthrax/Megadeath/Slayer concert tonight that was live earlier in the day somewhere in Europe.

Thanks. I doubt we'll get it here, though.

It also is the reason we're probably not getting a webcast. :(
