    Not that I love the guy's overly-slick production values, but I thought he was working on this latest project. Hmm.

    I ordered the [link=http://www.ericclapton.com/product/clapton-deluxe-limited-edition-bundle/?cmpid=0810/CLP/golddtc/mainsite/homepage/banner]limited edition[/link] off his official site. 'Cause I'm a freak, that's why.

    I was more interested in the booklet thingy and the (admittedly probably just generic) bonus track, funnily enough. :p

    My favourite music journo, Graham Reid, has written a nice (and fair) article on EC;

    And also revisted Beano;

    Sounds like Doyle's playing slide on that one.

    EDIT: Okay, Derek too.

    If it hadn't been for the Collins influence, I am of the opinion that Behind the Sun could have been the the best of the 1980's albums.

    Still like Journeyman, though, and it's apparently Clapton's favorite of his solo works (probably in part because it was the first album he did completely sober).

    Also, [link=http://www.whereseric.com/eric-clapton-news/303-listen-four-new-songs-clapton-wheresericcom]four tracks from the new album[/link] (two of which were already available elsewhere).

    The other 2 tracks are good too.

    Journeyman was the first new album Eric released after I became a fan, so it holds a special place in my heart. I don't think his subsequent studio albums (not including From the Cradle) have come close. There are some good songs on Pilgrim, though, struggling to be heard over the awful drum programming.

    Interesting. Never heard of it before.

    EDIT: lol, it's making me think of Final Fantasy VI for some reason.

    It's listed in Marc Roberty's session book, that's where the quote comes from. It was 7-21 May 88 at Townhouse Studio in London, just a week after the Homeboy sessions ended at the same place. He'd also done the Buster score in April.
