Amph God is *Not* Dead 2: Electric Godaloo

I haven't been around much lately, but in honor of my 15th anniversary as a JC member, I wanted to give a shout out to this, the best movie trailer I've seen in years:



It could not possibly have done a better job of hitting those critical tropes.

1. The unrelenting persecution of Christians in the U.S.
2. The insidious liberal atheist brainwashing of American college students
3. IT'S A SIMPLE QUESTION: WHY DO YOU HATE GOD????!!???!!!??

Also, Kevin Sorbo looks appropriately used and humiliated as a philosophy professor. Genius casting! And Dean Cain! Where have you been, Dean? Apparently not at the gym.

And extra points for creativity. I've never had sex with a supermodel, but I can imagine what it might be like, and though I may get many of the facts wrong, creative imagination is the key to satisfaction.

Similarly, although conservative Christians may have never attended college, they can imagine what it might be like, and here they do it with creative gusto.

Really, really makes me want to see it.

Sorbo totally could do Macbeth on stage. He's nailed that tragic, haggard pathos.

It's on limited release, but has four locations in Chicago.

I'm not entirely convinced this movie will reaffirm people's faith in God the same way "The Exorcist" did back in 73. Nothing packs Christians into theaters like a well-told tale about Satan.

 

I am so sad no theaters around where I live will be carrying it when it comes out.

Do you guys really have nothing better to do than to trash on the people who actually live with hope in their lives? Why do you ALL hate God?

I keep getting this confused with the Greg Kinnear movie that's coming out, Heaven is for Realsies.

 

Lois and Clark the series exists, therefore Dean Cain a priori must exist. DISPUTE MY LOGIC IF YOU CAN!

Sure - you concluded Dean Cain exists as a result of something he appeared in existing, therefore you were only able to conclude Dean Cain's existence from experience, therefore it must be an a posteriori conclusion.

Edit: To say nothing of the lingering modality question - namely, "necessarily Dean Cain, or only possibly?"

 

ASR that's a really strange argument that you've created. It comes off as rather arrogant.

 

Didn't you get the memo? Unless you believe and behave exactly as ASR does, you're destined for hell! He is the only True Christian (tm) in the world, and we should all be humbled that he deigns to grace the Internets with his presence.
