i think your movie review hits most of the details. the only one you left out is that the liberal atheist journalist is also a vegetarian, which they go out of their way to tell us even though it has no bearing on the story whatsoever

So, am I too understand this whole movie is about the thought problem of the invisible pink unicorn and the religious folks of this country are eating it up as if said thought problem does not shoot it down and Hercules is the villain?

Seeing this, I had to check if the movie was playing in my town.

Yep. I can't watch the new Wes Anderson film, but damn I can watch another Jesus movie in Falwell Town Virigina(Lyncbhurg)

It's funny what you can do with the edit and quote buttons.

Thanks to the success of this movie in the US, it is now being carried into 4 Canadian provinces! Sure, I have to drive an hour and a half to reach the nearest city that's playing it, but it's gonna be so worth it :D

To be honest, I think most Canadians have forgotten about him :p I don't hear about him on local news anymore, just that stint on Jimmy Kimmel. That's the last I heard of him.

So, I suppose I partially have Rogue_Ten and PRENNTACULAR to thank for my latest moviegoing experience. :p

Wow. This movie was even better than I expected (and I note that y'alls saying it was a crap movie just defines our differing mindsets). It moved me to the core. I didn't much care for two of the break-ups in the movie - 1: Josh's girlfriend thinking she can turn God's will into her own and dumping him when he takes up this challenge, and 2: Rich company mogul dumps girlfriend because she has cancer and then compares a dating relationship to a business partnership - but the professor was stifling his girlfriend's identity, and it goes to show why the Bible tells believers not to be unequally yoked with non-believers. I own the Newsboys CD "God's Not Dead", so as soon as The King Is Coming started playing at the concert, I was up and singing, right in the theater.

Watching the movie also really helped me out of my recent depression slump. Hearing "God is good all the time, and all the time God is good" over and over really helped, seeing the Arab girl thrown out for following Christ reminded me of Romans 1:16 and my personal mandate to pray for the persecuted church. All in all, wonderful movie. :)

There were only like 10 other people at that particular showing, and no one particularly cared about it. :p I think I'm a little disappointed that there was no one making loud "anti-theist" remarks at the movie though, would've been a nice opportunity to strike up conversation after the movie.

Take from that what you will. Also read the reviews on http://www.rottentomatoes.com if that's not enough for you. There's film art, and then there's propaganda, and then there's insult to the art of film. Again, take from that what you will.

By that line, I was referring to no one caring that I was singing. Everyone was deeply into the movie itself.
