in all honesty, i'd say they're about even right now. they're kinda clones of each other, playing the same way. the only real difference is that the giants have plax and the titans don't really have a major wideout. if they played it would be one doozy of a trip.

It would be a good game, and I'm not picking either one over the other at this point. I'm just saying that they have an argument to be better than the Titans, but the Titans likewise have a decent argument on their side too. If I were making power rankings I might even put them at a tie for #1. If I had to pick... I'd have to think about it a while.

The only difference I see is the QB, and the relationship Eli has with his offense, although he and Plax weren't exactly on the same page a little while there in the Dallas game. The Giants have the better offense, but the Titans have been able to hold back teams with just as an effective offense as the Giants (Colts and Packers come to mind).

They won't have Thursday games until the college season is over. And they shouldn't then, but who knows :p

you kidding? they're already advertising the thursday night match ups for NFL network. which i think is really stupid, because it seriously screws with the teams rhythms. no way you get the best football out of those match ups.

Yeah, put me on the "No Thursday Nighters" list. I think you, Rogue and I should join some kind of "we think alike" club, Trim. :p

Yeah, "shouldn't" there is more of a judgment of the value of NFL Thursday games. College Thursday games (of a limited nature), ok. NFL, no. Besides, Thursday screws up the week more when normal is Sunday or occasionally Monday than when normal is Saturday.

Yeah, when did we go to ESPN for Monday Night Football? That's one of those things that should stay on Network television so everyone can see it.

    1) I'm fairly certain that with flex scheduling they can't change the day of a game, only the time. So, it will only effect Sunday games moving from 1:00, 4:00 and 8:00.

    2) They moved MNF with the new TV contract when NBC picked up Sunday Night Football. I tend to agree with you that Sunday should be on cable and Monday on broadcast TV.

They moved it to ESPN because ABC wanted to have some normal programming on Monday night. They're owned by the same people, so they're still making the money, only now ESPN has something to do on Monday night.

I just remember all those years of MNF, in the seventies and eighties, even before cable came along. It was an institution. :(

actually, most of the games that were on sunday nights were the ones i was wanting to watch a lot more. mainly because they had more playoff implications most of the time, and so forth. as of right now most of monday nights games are kinda bomby.

It's probably so that the better teams/games have more coverage, I'd think.

Why did we not kick a field goal? Oy. The Titans seem to have adjusted themselves, but we could have something on the board right now.

EDIT: Aaaand, it looks like we'll be relying on Kerry a lot today. Which is fine with me. :)

And today's fine performance from Collins brings his TD total to a whopping 5. I couldn't believe it when I saw he only had 3 going into the game.
