God's supposed "2,000 years to come back" isn't up yet.

    Now, bear with me here.

I see alot of people saying that stuff about how God is supposed to come back in 2000 years, but when 2000 rolled along, he didn't come back. Why? Because his time isn't up yet if you go by the time when Jesus was supposed to have died and then add 2,000 years. Jesus was supposed to have died in 30 A.D. therefore he would still have 25 years left on his 2,000 years to come back if you calculate this by what history tells you when Jesus was born and when he died. If you go by that he should come back around 2030.

So his 2,000 years to come back isn't up then, why didn't anyone think of this?

And, you need to look at Daniel's 70th week prophecy and the Olivet discourse in the Book of Matthew

Most bible scholars agree that Christ return will occur during the generation that sees the Jewish people in control of Israel of Jerusalem.

Now depending on where you stand, thats either May 1948 when Israel became a state or 1967 when Israel took control of Jerusalem.

The Pslams say that a generation equal 70 years.

So depending on which stance you take, Christ return will wither occur in 2018 or 2038.

The bible says nothing about Christ returning back in 2000 years... Even if that's the case, Christ died and rose in 32AD.

That would mean Christ would return in 2032.

So, therefore this entire "2,000 years" bologna is just a bunch of garbage.

Point taken, but this could just as easily be posted in an existing thread on religious discussion, and really doesn't have enough to stand on its own.
