OUCH. Sorry MovieTrailerMusic, but you won't be able to download ANY of those titles.

Unless the third parties agree to jump on the service of course.

Right now, the only games that will be downloaded on the Virtual Console Service will be games Nintendo themselves made.

Goldeneye and Perfect Dark were made by Rare, now owned by Microsoft. Will Gates allow these classic games to be on the Virtual Console Service of their competitor... maybe... depends on how much money they think they can make.

NFL Blitz was made by Midway. This is certainly possible to return to the Virtual Console Service, but so far no thrid-party companies have jumped aboard.

Sorry, but unless Nintendo and Nintendo alone made the game, the Virtual Console Service won't have it (at this time at least. Here's hoping)

Perfect Dark was the best game i'd ever played then. It still satisfies me now, it's all i've got left thinking that Microsoft isn't getting the "real" Perfect Dark :D

Please, let me have that one thing, all else has failed

But it isn't completely impossible that Goldeneye and Perfect Dark will be downloadable. You are forgetting that when Rare made them they were a second party developer, not third, so Nintendo may still have a good percentage of the rights to them.

Nope. When Rare was transferred to Microsoft the deal was that anything Rare did with Nintendo Characters (Star Fox 64 and Adventures, Donkey Kong 64, etc) was Nintendo's property. Everything else (Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Blast Corps, etc.) was still retained as Rare's works.

Otherwise Nintendo would be bitchin that Perfect Dark is a Nintendo lisence and Microsoft wouldn't be getting PD: Zero.

The Only way the Revolution's Virtual Console Service will get Goldeneye or Perfect Dark will be if Rare is authorized by Microsoft to provide the games to Nintendo for the service, which will boil down to how much money Microsoft gets out of the deal.

I agree- we won't see Perfect Dark as a downloadable.

GoldenEye I'm not 100% certain of though- since that's a James Bond property, Rare might not own that one completely so it might be entirely their decision.

However, since Rare is still doing portable games for GBA, perhaps we might see a GoldenEye port for the DS if the right deals can be negotiated.

Diddy Kong racing was utter crack back in the day, it did'nt have the legendary courses that Mario Kart boasted, but it was solid kart/airplane/jetski racing fun, without the need for those sneaky shortcuts that only longtime players could find.

With all the talk of Rare in this thread I'm surprised no one has mentioned Jet Force Gemini. That game was AWESOME. My brothers and I would play it all the time. Once you got that robot you could just have a friend plug in a controller for co-op at any time without having to restart or anything. It was sweet!

Diddy Kong Racing and Starfox 64, though made by Rare, are Nintendo lisenced characters and should be on the Revolution's VCS.

Jet Force Gemini is like Perfect Dark, Rare's exclusive property (and now Micro$oft's)

Oh, how could I forget, Turok (the original)! It is still the best in the series! I didn't really like Evolution, I like killing dinosaurs better than hybrids.

Star Wars: Rogue Squadron 3-D is the best SW game for the '64.

Donkey Kong 64 was pretty sweet too. I like playing as the dude with the long arms.

I really never cared for Diddy Kong Racing myself.

Jet Force Gemeni was rather sweet though- like a cartoony Metroid in some ways.

I loved Turok 2- huge areas to explore and damn violent weaponry (all hail the Cerebral Bore!).
