Yeah, I'm just worried about him.

Hey, was it you who like the movie Grease? Or am I totally off-base with that one?

Hehe. I did as a kid. I always hoped my class would start singing and dancing at the snap of a finger, but they were pretty tame. If I had jumped on my desk and had started singing, I'd have gotten a whack on the head.

    Why?

We have this thing in Aus called "Sunset Cinema" and basically they set up a screen and a projector in the Botanic Gardens and screen lots of movies - new ones and old ones. And I'm pretty sure the day you get here, they're screening Grease! I remember you or Tom mentioning it once, so I thought I'd let you know. Maybe you can drag some of your extended family along.

    ;)

    LOL.

By subtly suggesting my family to go with me, I take it you're no option? ;)

Heh. I'm just not sure how *much* you want to see of me. I thought I'd give you the option to say "enough's enough."

    ;)

Well, from what I know now, I'd like to see you for the full three weeks. But that's going to be a bit hard to fit into the schedule, I think.

I have been thinking about meeting more than just one day, though. Just as an option. Because Jesus, if I'm in Brisbane we'd better make the most of it. On the other hand -- what if we think one day is enough? You can never tell how those things go.

I'm sure we'll figure something out. It can't be that bloody hard. ;)

So do you know how long we have left in here?

Yeah, we'll work it out. We'll decide then.

    I think it's until September 18. That's somehow a date that's stuck in my mind. That's Wednesday.

I just checked epic's thread in Community and he said "Also, once the final two is announced, you'll have a further 24 hours to vote for who you want to win! So make plans to be online on Sunday or Monday to make your vote count!"

So maybe we'll get out earlier than we think!

Ah, look at that. Well, we'll see. One thing is for sure: we won't have any gatecrashers now. ;)

    How are you today, anyway?

I'm feeling lovely today! What about you?

My brother and I went to see a performance of Improbable Theatre last night. It was an outdoor event with lots of sticky tape and fireworks. Sounds like a weird combination, doesn't it? It was amazing though.

I'm pretty good, actually. My spirits are going up and up now I'm reaching October and the trip is getting closer. It'll be nice to be free and wandering, with no University and whatnot.

And yeah, that thing looks amazing. I like that kind of theatre. In Holland, we've got lots of stuff like that; artists and performers in those obscure fields that are enjoyable to watch.

There is one guy who makes dragons and similar creatures out of steel frames, and they move with the wind: they're like skeletons of fantasy creatures, and they're rolling in the fields or on the beach, which is always quite haunting and fascinating to see. I always have sympathy for people that do that, who don't conform and have ideas like that. They get laughed at, but they follow their own course.

That sounds amazing. There's a huge festival on here at the moment (it seems to be festival season actually!) so there's lots of stuff to do on the weekends now. There's no excuse for sitting at home.

    :)

That's lovely. I miss that sometimes, now I'm living in this little village. In Amsterdam, if I left my apartment, I was in the middle of things. There was always something going on. Here, I'm in the middle of sheep. ;)

Any things you plan to attend?

Well Sunset Cinema is showing 'Bend it Like Beckham' on wednesday, and I've got a wedding on saturday, so I might not get to see something this week... maybe next week.

    :)

Oh yeah, you told me about the wedding. You had to buy cutlery, right? That's so stupid and impersonal.

Not even. I bought napkins and placemats and a stupid salad bowl. I hate it.

Actually it's quite good going to these types of weddings because it makes me more determined to get married on a beach somewhere with the minimum of fuss.

Yeah. Just a little intimate, private ceremony and not all that stiff traditional crap. I hate it how some people cling to that -- they just want a wedding like everyone's, because it's safe.

Bloody hell, I made up my mind: I will wear that Al Jolson Threepio suit!

If there's anyone that could pull that off for a wedding outfit, it'd be you. ;)

I don't see the need to invite people you haven't seen for 10 years or people you're never going to see again. It's so wasteful.

Yeah, that's another thing I hate. (Christ, do we agree on everything?)

People that invite the local shoesalesman and his daughter, and her high school friend's dog. Just to fill the Church and bore the crap out of them while being under the impression you're the princess-for-today and very romantic and lovely.

    Not me. I'll rebel.

    "What, Casper, is your answer?"

Christ, do we agree on everything?

I hope not. That's not the purrr-fect way to have a converstion - to agree on everything.

    LOL.

I think we're ready to marry. Any song you'd like to hear during our ceremony?

Well there is this beautful song by Lamb called "Gorecki" -- I'm not sure if you've heard of it.

    What do you think?

If I should die this very moment
    I wouldn't fear
    For I've never known completeness
    Like being here
Wrapped in the warmth of you
    Loving every breath of you
    Still my heart this moment
    Or it might burst
    Could we stay right here
Until the end of time until the earth stops turning
Wanna love you until the seas run dry
I've found the one I've waited for

All this time I've loved you
    And never known your face
All this time I've missed you
    And searched this human race
    Here is true peace
    Here my heart knows calm
    Safe in your soul
    Bathed in your sighs
    Wanna stay right here
    Until the end of time
    'Til the earth stops turning
Gonna love you until the seas run dry
I've found the one I've waited for

    The one I've waited for

    All I've known
    All I've done
All I've felt was leading to this
    All I've known
    All I've done
All I've felt was leading to this
    Wanna stay right here
'Til the end of time 'till the earth stops turning
I'm gonna love you till the seas run dry
I've found the one I've waited for
    The one I've waited for
    The one I've waited for

    Wanna stay right here
'Til the end of time 'till the earth stops turning
I'm gonna love you till the seas run dry
I've found the one I've waited for
    The one I've waited for
    The one I've waited for

Hey, that looks quite nice actually. I haven't heard of it -- do you have an mp3 or similar file of it?

    Hang on a sec...
