Good News For The Fans Of R5-D4

I'm sorry to see this happen. Perhaps if this were a social thread it would have better success. I know the BYS and R5-D4 threads have never really hit it off well, but this thread and group deserve better than this. Perhaps a move to the new thread in Miscellaneous would help generate interest. I'll do my part to help keep the thread alive.

all. I haven't had much time lately for checking in either.

I've read it all, yes. It's sad to see people go, and the empire crumbling more and more. Your work on the thread certainly has been fantastic. Lots of great posts there.

We could ask a mod to lock the thread, of course. Then we'll do a big finale, and I'll round up a couple of people to write a farewell message. It really has been a long, great ride.

But you can bring your work to the "Memories" thread if you want. I'd love to have you there. Then you can write about anything you like, R5 or non-R5. You can even compile a "best of" of your R5 entries and post them in the "Memories" thread.

How many of you still here believe we should let this thread go?

You think R5 has got it rough? What about poor ole CZ-3? A droid with that kind of charisma, and not a peep!

 

CZ-3 has a following too. He was mentioned quite a bit in earlier days of this thread.
If I remember correctly... one of the R5 theories basically teamed CZ-3 up with R5-D4,
and then "what if" discussions followed with our second stringer pair in place of R2-D2 and C-3P0.

 

Yours truly originally brought CZ-3 to this thread all those moons ago.

Sadly, as Tatooine will be seen only briefly in episode 3, I don't think that we'll be seing the senile ole codger in the PT.

 

BTW, TK327, I've made a CZ-3 Icon (see sig)

 

Well if there's any bright side to CZ-3 not being in EP3, at least we won't get to hear him say:

"I'm scrap" or "It's a nightmare!"

You could vote for it in the Icon submissions thread in Communications, but I'm probably going to make a better one.
