I wouldn't classify Dark Times as small scale, just because of the Vector storyline in there.

I flatly refuse to mention The Last One Standing when everyone brings it up at the expense of No Disintegrations, Please, and I did indirectly mention it by bringing up all of the short story anthologies collectively.

Thinking about it Shatterpoint should actually also count, since the stage it plays on is incredible small, also it is the best Clone Wars novel, so should be read anyway.

All of Brian Daley's Han Solo books. Each one is just a slice of life for our favorite smuggler.

This is pretty interesting. Shatterpoint, Traitor, Kenobi, The Last One Standing have all been brought up, and are all often cited as generally very well regarded EU works. It seems as if, considering how relatively few small scale EU stories there are, they make up a disproportionate amount of the EU that's considered very good.

Well, in the era of LOTF and FOTJ, a lot of us fell back on the small-scale stuff because it seemed like the "big" stories just weren't very good anymore.

In my case, that extends to the Legacy comics too - I didn't care for the main story (though many will disagree with me on that one), but I liked Ania Solo's adventures just fine.

The Han Solo Trilogy is a good one. The biggest thing that happens it it is the Battle of Nar Shaddaa.

I'd say Scourge is a good example of a recent small-scale novel.

EDIT: On closer inspection it looks like I'm not the only one:

Maybe I, Jedi? Tavira and the Jensaarai aren't exactly galaxy-scale.

Shadow Games? That's pretty small-scale. Also Scoundrels.
