Good Writers-wanna critique my script?

Okay, so here's the deal. I've been somewhat secretly working on a fanfilm and my script is in its 3rd draft. I've gotten lots of positive feedback from people so far but I'd like to hear from some fanfilm experts. I won't post the script for everyone because I'd like to keep the story kind of secret so as to not ruin any surprises. If anyone's willing to read my 18 page script and give me feedback, I'll gladly email it to them.

18 pages isn't bad, I would love to see what you have written... I know you don't want too many people to read it, I always find it hard to let the child that I have spend months cultivating go out into others' care without me...

Wow that's a lot of people requesting it. I don't want to send it to too many people at this stage. I don't know any of your credentials/history since you're all pretty new here. Other than JoeSunrider have any of you completed or are working on a fanfilm?

 

My Film is in post production, having just finished some reshoots.CG will take a further 5 months.

What does being new here have to do with writing experience? And why would you need to see the production value of someones film in order to know how well writen the script was?

Don't take it personally. I just prefer to give it to people who have been around here a long time and have seen lots of fanfilms good and bad go by as well as participated in numerous discussions about what makes a good or bad fanfilm. I don't want to send my script out to everyone for the same reason George Lucas doesn't hand his script out to random people. I know you were just trying to help and I might send it to you anyways.

Exactly. LOL, J/K. You know what I meant. I don't want to spoil it for too many people and I don't want any of my original ideas (if there are any-i don't know i haven't seen all fanfilms) used until it's actually finished.

My personal reason is if the script sucks and everyone's already read it then they're not gonna want to see the movie when it's completed.

I have competed a 20 minute fanfilm that took me a year. I was told it was one of the only films that had depth and story. I'm working on another one with a 50 page script so far. Im not exulting myself, Im just trying to qualify
