Well, I'm here, and my cousin offered me the Internet. Since it's me, I didn't turn it down. No Warcraft III, though. :)

We're going in tomorrow. My brother needs to look at colleges, plus we might go to Ground Zero. It should be amazing, from what my cousins say.

    Thanks, Dave!

Well today, we wne to Purchase University on a tour for my brother, then to Ground Zero. The place is huge, and very powerful.

After that, we caught the subway to Chinatown. We spent about an hour going through the shops and stands where they already have Goldmember on DVD. Ahh, bootlef stuff! Then we ate there, and I had peking duck for the first time. :)

I was actualy working at ground zero last September. Never will forget the experience. Anyway the city is wonderful. If you get the chance go to the USS Intrepid. Great museum with static aircraft displays on the deck and acsess to the bridge. Carriers are cool.

Battleships rule the seas. Or at least they did, before the dark times, before the aircraft carriers. ;)

There's nothing quite like a 16" shell to get your point across. Except maybe 4 of them at once. :D

Have fun, Roy! I was just up there a couple days ago to check out the old coastal defenses in Portsmouth.

Yeah, battleships are great and all Eric, but things have advanced so much that now that having massive guns with 20 mile ranges really doesn't matter. Most ships can be dealt with with the standard 5 inch gun(s) on all surface combatants. Although, they would probably never be used, we have anti-ship missles for that.
But a battleship belching flames sure does look cool- http://www.chinfo.navy.mil/navpalib/ships/battleships/newjersey/nj-1984beirut.jpg

I'd rather serve on a Arleigh Burke class destroyer. The most powerful surface combatant ever!
