Got A New Job! Woohoo!

Yep, just got the call this afternoon. It's at Online Support, a tech-help call center. Very easy work (guy I know only answers 8 calls a day), and it pays more than my crappy A&W job

Plus, I think it's going to be the evening shift (5pm-1am) which is great, sinceI always stay up late anyway.

And, I know at least 2 people that work there.

Woohoo! A good job, finally!!!

I might be able to. Bobby, my brother's friend who works there, apparently just plays around on the net all day when not answering calls. And it seemed pretty layed back when I went down for my interview (and it's a pretty cool place too, with lots of geeks, lol).

probably best not to start posting on the boards the first few days on the job though

let them get used to you first, but if it's that relaxed, and there isn't anything to do when not answering calls i've found that posting on the boards can actually be a good way to look like you're busy. that is as long as nobody's looking over your shoulder of course.

 

haha, yeah. And they have high-speed there. Imagine all the posts I can make with my VIP-multi-posts-per-minute status, lol

Just got back from orientation.

This job is going to be teh kick ass!

The dude said like 90% of the calls us just walking people through the wizard that sets up their internet connections! Sweet ass sweet! I know how to do that, because my ISP sucks ass and I had to do it myself last time I got my connection set up

And my hours are pretty good too, 6pm-1am. Hell, I'm up that late anyway, might as well get paid for it.
