Vader tells Jerjerrod that "the Emperor is not as forgiving as I am." Most people don't know that Sheev is Force-sensitive, so what does he do to those who fail him that makes him "not as forgiving" as Vader?

Because unlike Vader, who simply kills people who fails him; Sheev tortures them as slowly and painfully as possible taking sadistic pleasure out of it every second it lasts. If you had to fail one of them, be sure to fail Vader because he'll make your death quick.

Exactly. Sidious Palpatine is a monster. As dark as Vader is, he doesn't kill for amusement, unlike Sidious.

While it's no longer canon, in "Darksaber," Bevel Lemelisk recalled being executed multiple times (and cloned after each death) in slow and painful ways.

And the idea of a "Death Star designer" being executed and then cloned, has made it into the newcanon, in the book Star Wars: Absolutely Everything You Need to Know.

As to whether they will have the name Bevel Lemelisk, and their memories carry over, who can say?

Does the "galaxy far, far away" have a name?

Only in the EU - and even then, it's not a name the people of the galaxy use - but one the people of the neighbouring satellite galaxy use for it - "Skyriver" - used by the Nagai.

Does anyone know, when the TESB hologram scene was redone in 2004 with Ian McDiarmid, did they use any new footage of Vader, or just archive footage?

If they did film any new footage, who was in the suit?

It was done in late 2003 during filming for ROTS
The new shots of Vader kneeling are just recycled footage. Ian is the only new footage of that scene

My opinion (the books might discount this)
-Anakin was until he got married
-Luke is during IV, but not by V. He's a famous hero now and away from his parents.

What happens to Obi-Wan's lightsabre, after he becomes one with the force in ep IV?

I would guess Vader keeps it as a souvenir. In the EU at least, it crops up in the Junior Jedi Knights series book, Kenobi's Blade.

He still has it as a ghost. Maybe it disappeared shortly after he did. :)

Is it ever clarified exactly what killed Yoda? Illness or simply old age?

I think it was implied he was just very old. He was 900 years old at the time after all.

Have there ever been any discussions about what would have happened if Leigh Brackett had lived?

There's really not much dispute that her draft was taking the story in the wrong direction. But she is such a prestigious writer that I'm not sure they would have been willing to fire her.

So while it's obviously very sad that she died, it seems to me that her death may have actually saved the movie.

Hey all! Sorry if I've posted in the wrong thread but has anyone viewed the original trilogy when it first came out in 1977? Thanks!

He does specify that, "sick have I become".

So it's probably an illness, combined with his incredible age.

I got into a debate with a friend of mine last night over the rumor that the Sith were going to be called the Damned. I'm not sure I believe it, I could find no concrete evidence of it... nothing from any official sources, and we all know how rumors are on the internet.

Can anyone here shed some light on it?
