Death Star Troopers are obviously going to see a lot less combat than the average stormtrooper, so as a result would probably not be fully armored from top to bottom. Officers and those of a high position seem to never wear armor, and, taking TCW into account, this holds true even then

Did the blu-ray edition of any six episodes contain any close-up shots of humans made from CGI instead of actual actors? I read on Wikipedia that in the blu-ray edition of ROTJ there is a new close-up of Han striking Boba Fett's jetpack, but does anybody remember specifically if that scene contained a CGI Han Solo? If it didn't, then did any other scene from any six episodes contain close-ups of CGI humans?

Can anyone tell me how to convert the star wars dates with our own? I thought I remember there being a story of someone from the Star Wars galaxy coming to our own around the 1940's which linked our time with the Star Wars time so you could convert the dates but I can't remember any of the details.

Would anyone else love digital releases? I hate how DVDs and Blu-Rays can get scratched and can shatter.

Although I personally prefer physical media, I don't mind digital releases--provided that a disc release also exists. The nice thing about a book or a CD is that you don't have to re-buy it after switching PCs a couple of times.

 

Darth Vader threw Emperor Palpatine to a pit. Well, there are lots of pit falls in Star Wars, but unlike other times, Palpatine wasn't injured or unconscious when he was thrown.

Why didn't he simply prevent his fall using his lightsaber (I have seen such action in Star Wars: The Clone Wars TV series lots of time) and make his way out?

We never seem to see any beings of Yoda's species - except, of course, Yoda himself.

This leads us to the question of where the rest of the li'l critt'rs are. Yoda had to have parents, correct? So what happened to them? Was Yoda, put simply, just one of the last of a dying species?

We do see Yaddle in TPM. I figure Yoda's species simply isn't very high profile.

What scenes are you thinking of? I was under the impression that, because sabers tend to cut things very easily, they couldn't be used well to slow a fall.

 

At the end of Episode VI, Luke had beaten Darth Vader in a duel, but didn't seem to injure the latter critically — all Luke did was to sever Vader's right hand, which was a prosthetic to begin with. So, why did Vader die after he had thrown the emperor off the deck and saved Luke?

I hold the theory that Sidious was actually keeping Anakin alive through the Force ala Plagueis though. So if Anakin ever killed Sidious, he'd die too.
