    I listened to Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J. this morning and since my brain works the way it does, I currently have a medley of other Springsteen songs blaring in my head. At the moment, I'm toggling back and forth from Hungry Heart, Born in the U.S.A., Dancing in the Dark and Brilliant Disguise.

    I think when I first heard Hungry Heart, I was a little bit of a pop snob and it was too poppy for me to do anything but dislike it. Let a few years roll on by and, dang, what a great song. I mean, it's just astonishingly great. It helped when I started listening to the lyrics.

    I was playing Twisted Metal: Black the other day, and this song plays during the credits. The game is so dark in tone that when combined with this song, it's...rather spooky. Love the song, though.
