Got my lightsaber yesterday

    they have shadows in the movies? that IS stipid, it's a friggin light!

    To add to the hillarious multiple choice rebuttle of this post, I'd just like to also point out, that in the SW universe not even another light saber blade can pass through a light saber blade.

    So it is quite unlikely that ambient environmental light would pass through a light saber blade, thus in the SW universe it would cast a shadow.

    In the real world it's even more obvious why it'd cast a shadow.

    Although when rotoscoping, if you're doing a de-ignition by prop-removal, just make sure it isn't casting a visible shadow. Your blade will disappear, but the shadow won't :D (not that this has happened to me at all...)

    The reason people generally think they shouldn't cast shaddow is based upon the idea that they're made of light...which is silly.

    Wow if I knew that it was gonna turn into a nerdy debate i would have said nothing.

    I've always thought most lightsaber fights happened in dark areas in the SW movies...
