    Gotham - The Long Hour

The Thugs crept across the narrow and depressing alleyway through inky blackness of the night, The rain that had passed left the streets glowing with the dim orange lights from the street lamps, the stench of Downtown Gotham drifted silently through the air. Both thugs were drenched in colorful paints, clutching clown masks in their gloved hands, clad in heavy leather jackets. Their fingers hovering over the triggers of their rifles, They were on patrol, waiting for some sort of signal. One of them had the stub of a cigarette wedged between their parched lips, while the other shivered and attempted to forget the cold that crept through the cracked roads of the street.
One of their radios buzzed to life, a cold voice burst from the speaker, interrupting the distant sounds of a street festival going on.
"the boss wants it to begin now. and also, Crash the party"
The message the radio had spat out to the goons made the freeze. The one with the cigarette spat out the smoking stub and licked his licked lips to then turn his head to the other...
They knew what crash the party meant. A lot of people were going to die needlessly.
They both nodded, sliding their masks onto their cold faces.

The Homeless man huddled in the blankets on the pavements of the streets had been enjoying watching the people at the festival on the other side of the street when he saw two clowns burst from an alleyway, craning the heads, searching the pavements for any signs of trouble. The civilians at the festival were to absorbed in the party for them to notice the two gunmen cradling massive rifles. The thugs trudged slowly towards the bank which loomed over the block parade, one of them yanked up a hood. Each of their steps grew heavier as the edged closer towards the Party-goers. A young man wearing a Star Wars T-shirt turned his head laughing at a joke with some cider clutched in his hand to see two figures marching towards him, massive guns cradled in their arms, he turned his head to face the man who had just told him the joke, only to find that he had just donned a Clown Mask, clutching a glock in his hand, he yanked his head to face a different direction only to find more and more people yanking clown masks on.
The burst of gunfire mixed with the yells and screams of the citizens of Gotham. More of the Clown-Men appeared from different ends of the street, even more appearing from the crowds of the parade. Innocent bodies dropped to the ground, one by one as more and more clown faces appeared from the faces of the crowd...
When only Clown faces remained, the company of thugs which originally was only two but now a good thirty, marched towards the doors of the bank…
The account register shrieked in fright as the doors of the Gotham Bank burst open, watching in horror as Clown faced criminals streamed into the foyer...
The pavement lay tainted with the dead bodies of Men, Women and Children. The Thugs strode away from the gruesome scene, hauling sacks of money behind them and stepping over dead bodies, trailing the bags to mingle in the pools of dirty rain water and blood.

    "8 million dollars missing!?!"
The commissioner slammed down the newspaper on his desk and slowly brought his head up to look at the detective.
"Well it ain't missin', we knows who's got the money, commish."
Detective Harvey Bullock gazed at the commissioner, shaking his head.
“I mean, It’s seems kinda typical of the Joker, come to think of it, any criminal in Gotham, they ain’t plannin’ some giant plan or nothin’, are they?”
The commissioner, Gordon, ran his fingers through his hair, he was weary, the Reporters were screaming for more information.
"Dammit Harvey... We know the Joker... He's not going to end here... But, what is he going to do next?"
Harvey sighed, he knew the commissioner would say something like that.
“Okay, Suppose he is gonna do somethin’, how are we gonna stop him, huh? How are we, gonna find out what the Joker is plannin’?”
Gordon straightened the glasses perched on the tip of his nose, he had an idea.
    “We become the criminal!”
Harvey stared at Gordon for a minute, blinking.
    “We what!?!”
Gordon smiled as he walked over to the pinboard on which images of the bank robbery were stuck to.
“We send in some of ours to, get some first hand information on what the Joker is doing, and then, well…”
Harvey finished the sentence for him.
    “We improvise.”
Gordon walked over to the window to gaze over the city, he let off a heavy sigh
    "We need the Bat."

    Introduction
Welcome to Gotham - The Long Hour, As the streets grow dark with the Criminals of Gotham, the GCPD works on cracking the Joker's Plan, one thing is for sure, It's not one of his typical days of crime, As Commissioner Gordon starts recruiting new and trust worthy employees fro the GCPD, Joker Goons are creeping out of the blue, Perhaps some new Vigilantes will appear in the dark streets of Gotham to take the law into their own hands.
    But will it be enough?
Welcome to Gotham, Your new home, or perhaps an old one. It's certainly a great place here, heh, for criminals. I, Master Vo'Un'Var, Will be your GM, take your place in the GCPD, Be a Joker Goon, or a rogue Vigilante, the choice is yours, but be careful, you don't want to end up in Arkham Asylum, hey, what's with the look?
    Why So Serious?
This game is set, Obviously, in Batman's city of Gotham, As a Member of the GCPD you would probably be sent in under the disguise of a Joker goon, or perhaps you would be a real Joker Goon, but hurry, The Game will only be accepting players for a certain amount of time.
