The pre-season clip was different, but this was another attack on the same place. (The stormtroopers mention that she is back, and say "not again.")

Awful. Zero dramatic tension, no sense of pacing, and of course the Empire could be overthrown by a single irate Italian plumber. An utterly pathetic showing all around.

2/10, and one is for the Vader appearance.

That scene with the stolen Tie kind of bugged me. First off, how in the world would Tarkin and his battalion not immediately think something was fishy when the Tie approached the Star Destroyer with the paint job? Also, if Sabine and Co. planted the electric pulse bombs to disable the Destroyer (until its backup generator kicked in), wouldn't that have also made the Tie itself inoperable?

That's Mario, and he can overthrow any empire, thank you very much!
As they said in the episode: "The Imperials will only scan it. By the time the Imperials see it... it'll be too late".
It probably wasn't affected since it was turned off - same goes for the other ships onboard the Star Destroyer.

It certainly was better than the average Rebels episode, but it definitely had some weak parts. Like other people said already, I hoped we would see Mustafar, "the planet were Jedi go to die". Apart from that, I thought it was a bit incosistent that Hera was so enthusiastic about rescuing Kanan while Zeb had his doubts when it had been exactly the opposite in the previous episode.

I do give them points for portraying Tarkin at least as an above-average Imperial commander by having the reinforcements already prepared.

Reinforcements yes; but as we all know the Stormtroopers continue to be absolutely horrible shots.

Absolutely, I was just making a point that even though the Empire as a whole looks incompetent at times, Tarkin certainly isn't.

I loved it. Easily my favourite Rebels episode so far. I was so happy with the Fulcrum reveal and the Darth Vader ending was great.

Terrifying as it looks, you've gotta admit Ahsoka is looking pretty good in that outfit.

No... no, no, Ahsoka's outfit is what makes the image terrifying!
    I prefer my Jedi non-pornographic.

Well, the obvious exception to that rule would of course be Oppo Rancisis.
But let me clearify: I prefer my Jedi non-pornographic - especially in drawings based on 14-year olds (I know she's not supposed to be 14 in the picture, but when that drawing was made, 14-16 were the only ages we'd seen Ahsoka).

Anyway, back on topic - I gave this episode a 9/10. The weak opening lowered the score from a perfect 10.

If Leia becomes Jedi, the rule was allready broken by ROTJ. As for the episode, it was a little disappointing that Mustafar was kinda misleading fanservice. The action itself represented the better out of Rebels, kinda predictable in the big picture, but nonetheless satisfying. Duel with Inquisitor was fine variation on EI climax with Maul and I must say I mostly prefer this one. Kinda sad to see Inquisitor go so soon, though....
Older Ahsoka was just fine and introduction of Vader, well, adequate I would say. His caretaker of "Children of the Force" failed, so now he must try to babysit those stormtrooper kids...Beware Ezra, now you do have a foe, who, unlike you, has the contractual immortality!

    8/10

Mostly great, but I have to deduct points for the return of Ahsoka. I wanted her to die in TCW, now I am very discouraged that there will be still more of her. She could be a deal breaker for me, frankly. I expected it, but my heart still sank when she climbed down the ladder. She is like a colossal mistake that won't go away.

I wouldn't worry well unless they have them meet Obi-Wan then things get... complicated from a certain point of view!

I figure she's thought killed by Vader so Obi-Wan thinks he's beyond redemption but that's because he doesn't know what actually happened and her death is why Anakin sacrifices himself to save Luke.

Well that's what I hope happens so rather than mess things up it helps explain something reasonably instead of adding to the prequel woes.

The lightsaber duel was great and seeing those ISD's was just awesome. Just throughout the season the Empire has come of as a pretty pathetic force. For me it makes the story too predicable without having a threatening villain.

Definitely my favorite episode of Rebels so far. So much good, not much bad and my favorite SW character is back!

First thought is I really want a toy version of the "Pimp My Tie" Fighter. I hope the Rebels actually keep it for a while. I also like that at least one trooper was behind the new aesthetic.

The Kanan/Ezra/Inquisitor duel was fantastic! Specifically glad to see Kanan really let loose with both sabers.

Sad to see The Inquisitor go. I LOVE Jason Isaacs and even with Vader it won't be the same going forward without him.

Mustafar was essentially just a tease and sadly underused.

The burgeoning Rebel alliance really needs to work on its godawful uniforms. Cableknit sweaters and cargo pants? Really?

At this point, the Ashoka reveal wasn't a surprise, but it was still awesome! Her outfit looks great, but I'm not a fan of the harder edges of her face. It makes sense, she's older, I think I'll just always prefer baby-face Ashoka. On the upside, I think she looks a lot more like herself than the future version from Overlords.

Finally, I approve of Agent Kallus's "OH CRAP" face.

So darn good. This was the finale the show needed. High points being the Kanan/Ezra vs The Inquisitor duel, Ahsoka reveal, and of course, Vader. A little disappointed that the Inquisitor was offed so early, although the way it happened is a little suspicious. Still, I expect that's the last we'll see of him. Here's to hoping he gets a cameo in a comic one of these days.

10/10 and best episode of the season. Space battles, lightsaber battles, Ahsoka's return, so much to like about this episode :D I thought The Inquisitor would be knocked off in place of Vader, so he can hunt down the last of the Jedi. If I had one complaint, it would be the painted TIE fighter.
