Full Series Grade the Episode: 106: Downfall of a Droid

I had thought that Rex would have been around Anakin enough to know how valuable Artoo is to him; I mean if Ahsoka knows, why wouldn't Rex?

 

What was weird was that all they said was he was lost, so we don't know if they deliberately left him behind or if he somehow got flung out of the ship or what...

 

Gha Nachkt is to The Clone Wars what Ben Quadinaros is to the films.

 

What's with all the Gha Nackt hate? It's not like there was anything great about the character, but I didn't think there was anything horrible about him either.

 

The fact that he's supposed to be a Trandoshan but looks nothing like one.

 

It was a design choice for him.

Having many kind of trandoshan species is nothing new OT has Saurins as well so there already is different near-trandos- in galaxy populated by nearhumans and humanoids with striking resemblance to them wouldn't be too odd in-universe to have other species with similar diversity in appearance....

Nothing wrong in Gha Nackht if only he would've been con of this episode- not even his fart had anything to do with my hatred towards this episode -i would've given full 10 to farting trando in good story - now he just was in bad one....

 

How does he not look Trandoshan? He looks just like the reptilian dude I recently found out is Trandoshan from the Cantina scene in Ep. IV.

 

To clarify Tarky, people hate Gha Nachkt because he was a stupid idea. I had no idea Trandoshans grew human hands when they gorged on the donuts I say thank Kowak Grievous kills him the next episode.

 

That was a great scene.

Look, I understand that Filoni and co. were trying to make him different from Bossk as far as appearance goes, but Gha Nachkt was too different, to the extent that he didn't look like a Trandoshan.

 

He doesn't have hands like Bossk, but neither does the one from Ep. IV. Was him being a scavenger the problem for some reason?

Edit: So it was his looks? They made him look like the Cantina Trandoshan instead of Bossk so everyone hated him?

 

No, him farting all over the place was the problem.

 

Filoni didn't seem to be happy about the fart either. I heard he was interrogating Matthew Wood and David Acord up at Skywalker Sound on who put it in.

Haha, okay, I'm not a huge fan of the fart, but I don't hate characters because the show does things I wouldn't have done. The Trandoshan in the Cantina is kinda short and reaching out for a drink and looks just like a skinny Gha. I didn't know either was supposed to be Trandoshan until it came up recently in one of the Padawan Lost duology threads.

That's a Snivvian, not a Trandoshan.

 

No, not that guy. He has a longer snout. And lightly colored leathery skin. And wider black eyes. And sharp teeth. Just like Gha.

If you're referring to the individual that was reaching out for a drink, that's Kabe, a Chadra-Fan.

 

That's what I was thinking, but I confused him with Snaggletooth.

Hrchek Kal Fas. A Saurin. Trandoshan subspecies. Saurins did have more human-like appendages IIRC. I'd be much happier if Gha Nachkt was re-identified as a Saurin because then it would actually make sense.

 

Yeah, I thought that was another species.
