    9.

I liked the setting, and I thought that the action scenes between the clones and the Talz were top-notch. I also liked that C-3PO and R2 were in the episode, it added a classic Star Wars feel.

At least a 9. One of the highlights of Season 1, loved the setting and the use of the old McQuarrie artwork, loved the idea of discussing sovereignty in an episode. And of course, the skirmish at the end was amazing. We also got to see the increase in the quality of animation, particularly subtle things like cloaks billowing in the wind, snow, cold breath and I think the lip animation was better than previous episodes too.

8- nice episode.... nothing quite special though- speciesism could work well as theme also in another episodes.

It's funny how much this has same ideas as in James Cameron's Avatar but this times pand.... i mean pantorans are bad guys... they lack tail and are smaller but still blue with yellow face markings.... story is classic Pocahontas-type greedy baddie vs. savages .....no lovestory this time (would've been bit bizarre with such a different species....) ....

+Chuchi is cute[face_love] .... nice to see they didn't forget her after this- she is not irritating like Padmé while obviously is similar bit naive good girl- senator.....

+snow-world and clonesnowtrooperarmor are nice to see and snowspeeders too.... or freecospeeders.....

+Talz are nice since they don't talk basic- in TCW that is quite rare....

-What 3po does with Anakin now?

    -And where is Ahsoka?.....

-Guy is hit by a spear and no blood... seriously don't show such happenings if you are not going to add any blood.... no need for huge sprays but even little stains in the snow.....

Good episode but it doesn't cause "WOW good episode" -reaction in me- nice stuff.....

I really liked this episode. Stand-alone, self-contained, and nearly perfect.

Only despised the Chairman as a character.

If it wasn't for this episode & "Cloak of Darkness," I may have given up entirely on TCW with season one!

Needless to say, I'm glad I stuck around when the show kicked into high gear with the second season. I even picked up the Orto Plutonia battle pack of figures to show some respect.

I think I probably originally gave it an 8/10. We'll see after I watch it tonight, I'll probably rate it higher. :p

Certainly this is a top 5 Season 1 episode for me. Quite frankly, it's along the lines of what I dreamed the PT/TCW would be when I was younger.

In the OT era, it was like "what did the Jedi do"? And this episode really shows their diplomatic side. To me, definitely one of the all-time "classic" SW episodes.

I kriffing loved this episode. Chuchi was a very nice new character, Cho was an ass who met his end in classic style. I also liked the phase one Cold Assault Armor.

And they managed to make the silliest looking Mos Eisley Cantina alien into a total badass.

Gave it the 10. I love the character of the chairmen and his ranting about how the tals were just animals. This episode has personality, politics, and tons of action. The action is some of the most brutal in the series since there are no droids involved. This is one of those rare TCW episodes that really doesn't have anything thrown in to appease little kids, I actually felt it was a relatively mature story. It even reminded me of Star Trek a bit. Also, I love when TCW has such a good idea for an episode than the fact that it's happening in the Star Wars universe is almost secondary - it's just good science fiction - and I definitely feel this was one of those. Good times. [face_dancing]

11/10, but bumped down to a 10 for the poll. This is most definitely in my top five, one of the most amazing things to come out of the series. This is the type of episode that makes the series worth watching! From the animation to the epic action and even the writing, this episode hit the mark, right on the nose. Whatever the directors did with this episode, they need to do it again! =D=

10/10. This was an excellent episode and one that the show's creators should really be proud of. Riyo Chuchi was an excellent character and I loved how the chairman met his end. With the addition of C-3PO and R2-D2, this was a classic Star Wars episode and I really don't mind the idea of another trip to Orto Plutonia down the road. The helmets and droid heads on spikes were very cool and dark, and the little joke about the planet's tropical zone was genuinely amusing. Hats off to the director Brian Kalin O'Connell and writer Steven Melching for making this one of the best Star Wars stories ever told. :) @};- :D [face_dancing] =P~ [:D] [face_coffee]

After The Adventures of Jar-Jar and the so-so episodes in between, Trespass restored my faith in the series.

9/10. One of the best episodes of Season 1. Well paced, well plotted, well executed and, as other have said, it really does evoke some of the same 'feel' as the OT. It also shows that TCW can do episodes with a political/diplomatic element well. Whereas many of Season 2 and 3's political episodes have largely come across as tedious expositionary diversions from the main event, in Trepass the action, politics and atmosphere segued together to form a good stand alone story.

Chairman Cho was a well crafted antagonistic presence. The loathing I felt towards him was actually quite similar to the loathing I felt towards the character of Umbridge in the Harry Potter novels (though not admittedly quite as intense). Ryo Chuichi was IMO also a well done character. She came across as young and inexperienced without being cursed with the same insipidity that seems to afflict Padme.

I'm giving it a 7, which is probably higher than what I would have given it originally when it first aired. The visuals were outstanding, and definitely its strongest feature. The action was cool too; I love speeder chases in general. But the plot itself was kinda dull. Everyone fell into obvious stereotypes and the story panned out exactly as expected from the start. But at least they made it look nice.

    Gave it a 9.

This is certainly the most grown-up episode the series has ever done. It deals with heavy themes in a way that makes sense, it introduces interesting new characters, with compelling arcs and motivations, and it only dishes out action scenes when the story really calls for them. Nothing feels gratuitous or forced (other than a senator's butler being part of a military operation). Cho's downfall was just as touching as Chuchi's rise to the occasion, and the Jedi played their role perfectly, without ever drawing those damned lightsabers (the curse of the prequel era). Plus this had incredible looks, from the frozen wastelands to the new vehicles and armor. For a show that so often just recycles models over and over again, this was truly a breath of fresh air.

So why don't I give this a 10? Dunno, as perfect as I find this episode to be, I don't LOVE it. Maybe it's a little bit TOO mature for Star Wars, sometimes you need to just get the heart pounding...

=D= Agreed 10/10 episode really liked the talz design, the diplomacy that was in this episode was well played (why couldn't they has done the first half of season 3 like they did this episode with all the political stuff  ), the clones against the talz was well played as well it just felt like classic star wars.

Gave it a 10, everything about this episode was amazing. I think Gry described this episode perfectly. When we got action scenes they were some of the best the show had shown us up until than.

Rex saving the Chairman is still one of my favorite scenes in the series.

    10/10.

Forgot just how badass Rex was in this.

My wife walked through the room and said "wow, this episode looks fantastic" and then the next episode was The Hidden Enemy. ;)

Great to see the Jedi act as Jedi, great use of the respective skills of Kenobi and Skywalker (Ben restrains him from drawing his saber, but Anakin comes up with the idea to use a drawing to communicate).

Wow you guys totally overrate this episode (with few exceptions like Barriss:p ) i must say i lacked this "OMG how awesome" feeling when watching this......
I guess placing of this episode (just after Gungan General) adds few extra points since after BJ Hughes and Obi-Wan conjuring lightsabers plotholeless and jarjarless solid episode like this- automatically gains "WOW this is not crap anymore" reaction- same with Assassin for example- but it's not even a good episode but after that notorious corruptionduology anything else goes:p
Hunt for Ziro and Citadel also gain extra points because of their placing just after stuff some people consider pure crap.....

PS. Our mystical friend is late this time- where is that one 1 in our poll? Or was Trespass so good it was worth more than one even for him/her?

Giving it a 7. I don't know, this episode just didn't do it for me. I felt the new characters were cliche and predictable, which ruined my full enjoyment of the story. However, the action and concept was enjoyable.

8/10 for graphics, animation and setting.
The story was predictable and that evil chairman ruined it. He was not better than General "Time-To-Abandon-Ship" in early episodes. Why they made him so evil? Where is the conflict in this story that would probably justify chairman's actions?

9 out of 10 for me as well. Excellent story, excellent characters. Not much more to say on that. No real flaws that immediately come to mind either. Any flaws would be nitpicks at best.

The only thing that makes me laugh is the continued amazingly-bizarre use of royal titles.

Chairman Cho is also "Your Majesty"? [face_laugh] I understand he could theoretically be a king and the chairman of a board, but wouldn't you call him King Cho? No, not really, because the Assembly later declares him out of order!

swash - the thing is, the overall reaction to Jedi Crash/Defenders of Peace was much better than the Mando Boo-ology in S3, so you can't say people are overpraising Trespass.

It really is a unique episode - Gry calls it the most "grown-up"; someone else said this was one of the better political episodes and it didn't really have anything to do with ponderous speeches in the Senate.

Dare to imagine an episode where the Jedi don't draw their sabers - yet there was still action.

EDIT: I think the troll has switched from voting "1" for everything to "10" for everything.
