I completely understood Ezra in this episode. I lost my dad 11 years ago so this definitely hit me. Granted I was 27 not 15, but still it is a very hard acceptance to take. I definitely went dark for a while.

There was a lot of great things about this episode. I'm warming up to Ezra, but doubt I'll ever get as attached to him as I became with Ahsoka in TCW.

I was a little surprised by how relaxed Kanan was about Ezra's emotions and damn near reckless actions as a result. But Kanan has also struggled with his emotions from his past, so I can see him having more empathy for Ezra.

I did really like the foreshadowing of how strong and powerful Ezra became when fueled by his emotions and anger. I think this is something the writers will continue to intertwine into Ezra's story. Which will make his destiny all the more intriguing at the end.

I gave it an 8/10, in my opinion, every episode should be at least this good.

Episode was in the middle. The tragedy part kind of fell flat for me because the writing was so transparent and I didn't care about the parents. But I liked the talks with Kanan and the space-battle.

8/10 I'll get the negatives out of the way first.

    - Konstantine FINALLY does something... only to be made out to be a typical stooge in the end like Kallus. (He was 'pulling a Kallus', that's what I'll call it. :p )
    - The action was nothing new... and the inquisitors just sort of got swept under the rug once the hangar door was shut.
    - I miss Tua, but seeing her character model everywhere makes me miss her more, breaks immersion, and just looks cheap.

+No Ahsoka 'sue-ing' the place up.
+ The imperial banter between the imp officers and the inquisitors was cool at the beginning.
    + I like Ezra's parent's friend. (I didn't catch his name, the old dude)
+ Kanan and Hera really make good step-parent figures for Ezra and the crew.
+Chopper and Zeb go together, I like them being paired.
+ Hera and Sabine in the ghost, Zeb on the turret.

+ WOW... Ezra indirectly killed his own parents?!? That deep... and dark. I was under the impression that if they were dead, they would have been dead almost immediately after they were taken away 10 years earlier, not right after Ezra's OWN fairly recent broadcast.
    + Ezra/Kanan bond is strengthening.

Actually they were alive until the day before this episode happened. Hera said the mass prison escape happened "last night". He was so close.

7/10.. the big imperial attack was sadly anticlimactic and now Kallus' headlong dive into irrelevance is complete. He's gone from taking Zeb on hand to hand to having Ezra take him out with one gesture. He's basically just another incompetent Imperial for our heroes to leave in their dust. On the plus side Ezra's behaviour and development was treated pretty respectfully. He's a kid who misses his parents but appreciates his new pseudo-family too. And though he did act a little irrationally... it was made clear he was being irrational and Kanan called him out on it.

I am still questioning what the inverted twin Suns is symbolizing. My theory
Ezra will go to the dark side or its just showing how Ezra parallels Luke.

What can he do against a force push? Even other force users don't seem to be able to protect themselves against a force push, we see it used effectively in many lightsaber battles.

    +Ezra's character development
+Ezra's relationship and heartfelt moments with Kanan
+A better look into Kanan's motivations for training Ezra
+Ezra's slight emotional instability in reaction to the situation, running at The Inquisitors, "WHERE'S MY STUPID HELMET!!!" (plays The Imperial March in the background :vader:)
+Showing that Ezra still knows the importance of having your priorities straight by insisting to wait for the fleet to be safe before leaving for Lothal
+Ezra in action against Callus and his troops
    +Binary Sunset nostalgia

9/10 for me. I've really been enjoying the whole season so far for the most part. Thankfully I have plenty of distractions until it returns next year...

Me, too. :p The kid had me pretty thoroughly won over some time around the middle of the first season. Which is not to say I think he's been executed perfectly. But then, which character has?

I thought it was pretty terrific, myself.

The "Twin Moons" audio cue was gorgeous (it actually reminded me of Brian Wilson's latest offerings a bit) and fit the moment brilliantly. In fact, that whole scene with Ezra, the Force vision of his parents and Kanan coming to support his friend at the end was very touching.

    I'll give it 8/10.
