    + Dark tone.
+ The laser hole burning in the forehead of the Geonosian.
+ Luminara's reaction to Obi-Wan's suggestion of seeing the worm in action.
+ The flexibility of Luminara in fight.
+ The Jedi's conversation about Luminara and risks.

    - The queen's voice.

    Overall, a very good episode.

Not a huge fan of "zombie" Geonosians. Kinda weird. According to the special features (however few there were for the S2 DVDs, which was disappointing), S2 was basically a homage season. Each arc had some tie to another genre. Just not a fan of zombie stuff, in general (unless it's Shaun of the Dead).

It was creepy, though, I'll give them that.

Agreed on all these points. Luminara was good. And it was interesting to see Anakin being the reasonable one. I loved the banter about where the brainworm would enter Master Undulli. "Alright... *sigh* I'll go with the ear," or whatever Anakin says when he finally relents and makes a choice.

It was a pretty good episode. Could have been worse. I've sort of gotten used to the whole "zombies in Star Wars" aspect. Though the voice of the Queen annoyed me.

7/10 like before. Though, I think this episode was better than the previous two Geonosis episodes, and I'll stay by my original review. Yet I didn't like this whole undead zombie thing that was going around back in Fall 09 in SW. Death troopers was certainly not the best novel, and I didn't really care to see these "brain-wormed" control Geonosians here.

    Meh.

Don't like the use of zombies in SW, and the Geonosian queen speaking Basic didn't help either.

I'll admit I was a little hesitant when going into this episode. I mean zombies? Really? But Filoni and co. actually managed to pull through on this one.

Some of the highlights for me:

    - Early on in the episode when one of the battle droids gets buried by the sandstorm and yells out "Don't leave meeee!". Genuinely funny, and it sets the morbid, darker tone to come.
    - The creepy factor of the queen. Dee Bradley Baker did a great job IMO.
    - "The nose or the ear, which do you think it'll enter?" 'nuff said. [face_laugh]

I remember discussing that voice was the worse aspect of the entire episode. Definitely was awkward and didn't fit the character.

I like the episode a lot, but I absolutely hate every single thing about queen Karina the Great, from her stupid name, to her alien-queen-rip-off design, to her annoying voice.

Thankfully the rest of the episode is great. Amazing atmosphere, great scenes, cool dialogue, etc.

9/10 from me. The brain worm thing was really out there but that aspect was made up for by the feeling of a classic SW adventure. Luminara was once again used well and seeing the underbelly of Geonosis was a fun discovery.

I had to take a point off because of Karina, though. Bad name and just an awful character.

7- i have mixed feelings about this episode- it is not bad episode really but i didn't enjoy it- i haven't even watched this duology very much- yes duology- after Senate Spy argument i understood how clearly there is trilogy and duology to me and no "geonosis-arc" and i like the trilogy better while LAPR is only outstanding episode of those 3.....

+Geonosian culture and society revealed- queen is good idea very buglike really and kinda creepy i like this idea but well as usual it is not done as well as it could've been done

*Interesting note that we saw female sexual organs on screen:eek: - is this really suitable for kids?[face_laugh]

+ New and fresh ideas- zombies (uh not great idea to SW but at least new) while this sounds like more than too freaky eu-concept this is not like TOR that is just recycling old....
    + More Luminara and Ki-Adi
+ One of the droidhumourscenes i like is that OM-5- but poor droid really:( R.I.P. OM-5:p
+ Scene when brainworm is about to enter Luminara is hilarious[face_laugh] "What do you think ear or nose".....

-Karina's voice - Dee Bradley can do many characters i've been bashing him too much- but geonosian speaking english.... just bad really- usually i'm defending crazy accents and voices but not this this is too much even for me..... her name however is ok.... like Katarina/Catherine the Great and somewhat suitable for bug-queen....
    - Brainworm is too big really
    - Didn't really like zombie-idea and exact way brainworms work was not revealed- are they somehow connected to Karina or are they sentient and doing her will?.... how they are born and why Karina calls them her children?
I don't really enjoy this duology much.....

    8.5/10 rounded up to 9/10 I guess.

Only minus points for Karina, I agree with Gry it drove me crazy especially because it felt like such a perfect episode to me.

A really great take on Aliens and zombies, even had the old SF staple "hive mind" aliens.

Loved the shots in the catacombs where it's only lit by the helmets and the lightsabers.

Obi-Wan was The Greatest Snarky Jedi Ever in this episode and the dialogue between him and Anakin might be the best they've ever done.

This was a genre piece done right - some minor homages, but overall, it felt like part of the Geonosian culture, although I"m a little unsure as to whether Karina can control live Geonosians - which the queen normally could in Earth hive minds, I understand. Or at least give commands. I dunno.

    5. I never did care for this one. The name makes it sound ultra-badass, then you watch it and...well. Not a fan of zombies in Star Wars, and I don't enjoy that Obi Wan conveniently knows all about Queen Karina and her zombie horde. Luminara acted stupid and out of character and she deserved to be captured and killed if not possessed. Queen Karina is creepy as hell, but in all the wrong ways sadly. I suppose some of the dialogue/banter is somewhat enjoyable though it's more than likely due to the fact that everything else is boring.

7, Aliens parody this may be, its hardly the first time I've heard of parasitic worms taking over the brains of hosts.

I don't hate this episode and tend to watch this entire arc when I revisit them. But its not as good as the first two. This episode loses most of it points with the slow beginning and over the top Zombie Apocalypse theme. Once in the dark this episode picks up and has a spooky, tense feeling to me even knowing none of the characters involved are likely to die save a few poor clones. Obi-wan and Anakin were as enjoyable a dynamic duo as ever in this episode and Luminara's reaction to being put into the position of space-Guinea pig was priceless. Cody was also a bit heroic at the end there. The Zombie bug apocalypse may be a bit over the top but it was a fun idea. I didn't much care for Karina the great but I actually thought Dee Baker did a good job with the voice. Creatures are his specialty.

I forgot what he said, but I liked Anakin's remark toward Obi-Wan at the end of the episode. Study something off his boot

Yeah something like that. I didn't actually watch this one again though, on account of Mass Effect 2 being way too addicting, so I can't really confirm or deny it. But from what I remember it was the banter that was about the only thing I got a kick out of [face_plain]

It was more interesting than the last episode, but the whole zombie take was a big low point for me.

Didn't really think Luminara acted out of character at all - her calm arrogance is her calling card, isn't it? [face_thinking]

I think the line was "Anakin! I was studying that!" "You can study the bottom of my boot." [face_laugh]

The other one I liked was something like "Come now, the nose or the ear: which will it enter?"

EDIT: As far as Obi-Wan figuring out Karina, he said there were rumors of a Geonosian Queen and he put 2 and 2 together.

It's better than what would usually happen: an extended monologue by the villain.

"You see, Jedi, I'm holding you hostage because I need you. Or more specifically, I need your bodies. You see, my little pets will enter you and then you will be mine to control! BWHAHAHAHAHAHA" [face_skull] [face_skull] [face_skull]

    Gave it a 7.

It was alright action wise, and it was cool to see an enemy that the Jedi struggled with. Something different too. Not my favourite episode, but one I don't mind re-visiting.

I loved this episode, I gave it a 9. I thought it was very different, besides Karina's voice I didn't have really any issues with this one. I might be a bit bias though because I'm a sucker for zombies. :p

    8 or 9, not sure.
I loved the episode until, like quite a few people, Karina showed up.
Luminara was good, though I don't seem to remember the zombies immediately fighting after being cut to pieces with a lightsabre. If so surely they could win against them.
I was also a big fan of science officer Kenobi, a nice contrast to Anakin.

I mark this episode down due to the obviously blatant ripoff from Aliens.
Otherwise, an excellent episode with zombies! How can you not like zombies??!!
The graphics showing Luminara speeding across the sands with her goggles remains one of my favorite images.
