Grand Theft Auto III (PC Version)

I bought mine at Software ETC. for about $50. I checked Best Buy first, but they didn't have it.

 

I think I will.... aquire the game soon...

 

50 bucks??? good loard! i think i'll wait for it to drop down to 19 before i get it...

For those of you who have it:

What kind of system specs are you running it on? I'm running it on a pretty damn good computer that far exceeds the "recommended" (not minimum) requirements, and it still runs like crap.

Well, with a low-end PC like DUM's we can all play! yay!

 

That was totally a plug for his specs.

 

It brings warmth to my heart to see DUM with his old screen name.

It's a hilarous game for sure. I love picking up street corner girls to regain health. Has anyone hijacked the tank yet? My friend and I did one afternoon

I've got two tanks outside of my garage on Staunton Island (I use it as my operations base, rather than the projects by the airport, because there are just so many opportunities for mayhem right downtown). I mean, you can also go crazy out by the dam area, but if you go into either that internet café or that loft with the stairs, you can stand the cops off forever and a day...although mine's the PS2 version, and I don't know if this is the same on the PC.

Favorite trick, though, is using the Dodo plane to go to the hidden floating city.

 

hey guys, please help! i just got GTA 3 for the pc, and its playing all buggy like. i meet all the requirements for sure, i have a 1.1 gig athlon processor, 512 MB of ram, and a geforce4 64MB video card. but when playing the game i get a lot of yellow and black sqaures instead of text, and menu's... and i do beleive i have the latest drivers for my video card... any help?

 

Turn down the resolution a bit. That happened to my friend. If that doesn't work, get the newest drivers from nvidia.com.

 

you know how you can make your own skins? cuz I have no idea but I know it is possible, can someone make a skin for me with no sideburns, yellow hair in a crew cut, white shirt, black pants and if possible, tatoo's on is arm saying some writing (unreadable writing)

 

i fixed it, i just had to download a patch for my directx, i got the info from GTA3.com, they have tutoriols on how to make your own skins...

 

i can't find the tutorial

 

does anyone have a code that will stop or possibly slow down the timer in the missions? i'm just not fast enough.

u can buy at electronics botique for around 50.00 US. both versions (PC+PS2) worth every penny.

 

For those of you who have the PC version, put the 'play' CD-ROM. Open up the Audio folder, and open up the 'LIPS' wav file. Fast Forward the file to the 15th minute, and then speed the play mode to x2. The original GTA soundtrack will sound like Dr. Who.
