update.. the surgery was a success. I have full hearing in my left ear once again. Although I am in a lot of pain, and feeling very dizzy. Dizzyness should last about a week. I should be good to walk in the parade on the 30th. Either way, will be there, even if I just sit in the truck. The girls will be dressed up as well, as long as their costumes still fit. Daenara will be Padme, Kiara will either be Leia, or Yadel.

 

Hmmm... the AT-ST Alex and I have started looks to be too big to transport... pity... it would'a looked cool for a parade...

 

Good to hear (no pun intended) that the surgery went well!! Glad you guys will be able to make it. I am curious to see how Kaitlyn will be with the girls this year!!

I am scheduled to work that weekend, and I also have to leave Sunday for 2 weeks of training in Dayton, OH, so the weekend is a bit of a mess right now.

I'll know more as the date gets closer, but getting the day off seems unlikely right now.

We are ordering the "Beef on a Bun" again because so many of you have requested it. I think we also need some more food there, perhaps some salads, pop, juice, water, chips, other baked goods, etc. I know a lot are coming from out of town so it will be hard to get some of that food across the border, but perhaps we can start with others offering some food, so we are not just eating nacho dip and bread. If you are able to bring anything else, please post here or PM me and I will gladly add it to the list. Thanks.

 

I will definately bring something. Most likely I will make a lasagne or two to bring along. I know there is a stove there to warm it up in.

I won't worry about keeping track who is going to walk in the parade and who will watch. We have enough people coming that I am sure we will have a great showing of people walking. I really just want to keep track of people so I know how much food and drinks we need, to ensure we have enough. If we need, we order some pizzas!!!

 

I'll be happy to throw in some money in lieu of bring food from Rochester over the border.

I'll try to bring something, but that's a really busy weekend for me... My birthday is on the Thursday, and my friend is moving away the same day, plus it's the last weekend at Delaware Speedway.

Gah, I've been insanely busy this summer with work and now with school as well, I see I'm already on the list but I just wanted to drop by and confirm. I'm looking forward to this event as I do every year, it looks like another big turnout too!

 

I just wanted to confirm the standing on duplicate costumes. It looks like we're up to at least 3 maybe 4 Episode III Anakins. Will this be OK?

Its difficult for me to keep anything cold for the period and I wouldnt mind making something everyone will like.

Pittsburg is welcome to join. There are hotels close by, but maybe should check for availability with the Grape & WIne Festival going on. If you need some suggestions, let me know. They are close enough that you can just come to the hall in the morning.

The more Anakins the better. We will all have a blast.

THere is an oven and fridge there, as well as a microwave I think and we have access to it all. We just have to ensure everything is cleaned up before we leave. If not we get a huge charge for a cleaning fee, which will not look good on me since my dad is letting us use the hall for free!
