My sister and I will be there. Once Chris and Deb confirm we are in (there is little chance that we aren't), will you look into getting us the school again Tom?

 

Well, since you twisted my arm, I suppose I can look into getting the school again, for the before and after parade gathering

 

Will CrazyMike be coming down for the parade? Or the gathering after?

 

if this is a for sure thing, do you guys want the 501st to join in the parade again this year? If yes, I can make a post on the forum's to let everyone know. It is listed in the Master event list, but no specifics yet of course.

 

Hello Dimitria! Yes, of course we would like the 501st to come again this year! I can call and confirm the parade date, if you like.

 

Ok, we are officially in the parade once again. The date is Saturday, September 26. Meet at 9am, line-up by 10:30am, parade start at 11am. As of now, we are meeting at the same place as last year, Alexandra Elementary school, around 8-8:30am. If this changes, I will update everyone ASAP. Please post if you will be coming, and who you will be dressed as. As usual, bring $10 + food for after the parade.

I posted this up on the 501st boards. I will put updates here when members say they are coming, and what costumes they will be wearing. Thanks.

It's never actually on my birthday, it always seems to be a few days before or a few days after. Eventually it will be, but that won't be until 2013.

 

I might be able to bring 2-3 up from Windsor.

Looks like we might have over 30 people this year! This should be an awesome parade.

 

legoman and I were talking this afternoon and thought it was worth mentioning that several of us have multiple costumes, which means there are some costumes that can be loaned out to those who don't have one. So if you want to march but don't have a costume, or if you have a friend in that situation, let us know. The more, the merrier!!

 

I have an extra jedi costume, sans belt, that I could lend out. That's tunic, tabbards, obi and robe.

 

That's perfect, cause I have an extra belt.

 

Cool. Actually, I have two, but one is a dark red, almost burgundy colour, but a bit pink. I don't think many people would want to wear that one.

So, Chris is still trying to get the day off but the other two are confirmed.

The parade is now 3 weeks away. I would like to get a final count of who is coming.

If you will be marching, I need to know which costume you will be wearing. (We have extras that can be borrowed. Please ask if you want one.)

If you will be bringing food for the potluck, please let me know what you will be bringing so I can make sure we don't have too much of one thing. Drinks (more than just pop), plates, cups, forks etc. will be needed. These might be easiest to bring if coming from out of town. I have one dessert item covered, and I believe Chris and Deb are supplying beef on a bun again.

We could still use 1-3 people to volunteer to march out of costume to assist with water, maintaning marching order etc.

Also don't forget to bring $5-10 to help cover the cost of building rental and for a donation to the shelter.

**NOTE** We are unable to get Alexandra school again this year. We are working on getting a new location. I will update everyone as soon as I know where.
