What's THAT all abewt, eh? He's not listed in the guest list, and he's whinier than a farmboy.

 

I dare not post that on the garrison list -- some people turn into giddy school girls when you mention his name. *rolls eyes*

 

I mean, I can understand the giddy schoolgirlness over Michael Shanks, but over someone who's spent the last 25 years reminding the world that he wore the Vader costume in all of the non-combat scenes?

What did he do? Point his finger at someone?

 

Wait, I think he made a fist once, too. Hehe.

 

Mem, David Prowse isn't exactly a lot of fun to hang out with. Or pose in pics with.

I've seen many other actors who were more personable than him. Don't know if I care to see him again, in fact.

Sounds like the Dark Side got the better of him. To bad Id like to meet him.

 

It's funny. I don't have too much of a desire to meet any of the actors from SW. At least not on the sole merits of their induction into canon-ness. I'd like to meet Carrie Fisher because I think she's brilliant. I'd like to see Peter Mayhew again because he was a riot. Natalie Portman because she's such a better actress than Ep I & II make her out to be. That, and I have to respect someone who near aces the SATs, grads Harvard Psych and still puts up with Lucas in her spare time.

I dunno. David Prowse? Eh, it'd be cooler to have a picture taken with the original suit than him.

 

David Prowse was just a body double. Meh.

I'm still excited about Shanks though. *Acts giddy*

Yes, I noticed her addition as well. That puts a damper on many a young ladies' hopes for the Con, seein' as how she's MRS. SHANKS and all.

 

Figures she'd be there. After all she is the wife of Michael Shanks (lucky lady).

A quick question for all you long time con goers. if i buy my pass online, will i still need to pick it up at the con, or will it be mailed to me?

 

Don't know, never tried it.

I'm pretty sure you'll still have to pick up your badge and goodie bag at registration, as they aren't finished until Friday morning. Basically the only speedup you'll experience, is saving a little money on buying in advance and not having to worry about money at registration.

 

I've done it a couple of times in the past, and if I remember right if you order early enough they mail you a ticket you then exchange at registration for your pass and goodies bag. If you order it too close to the con for them to mail it they will hold it in will-call. But that's been a while since I've done it so take it with a grain of salt. [face-grin]

 

Yah, thats the way I remember it. You have to register there no matter how you buy your ticket/pass/quest/thingie.

 

That's what I was told. After the contest last year, they told me to just show up at Will Call this year for my ticket.
