25.00 a seat or per person plus we can talk and not worry about car trouble or accidents i like that

 

Did AmTrak have any rooms?

I know it was around 300 bucks to Nevada, but dived it up between all of us... But I don't know all the details.
Just a thought/suggestion

I like the idea of riding the train there. If we could get alot of people, the price shoudn't be so high

Thanks for posting the date Jedhed1. As for me, with Operation Blue Harvest being confirmed for that month, I can't say yay, or nay at the moment, until Operation Blue Harvest has a set date.

 

I am pretty much down for whatever. I am going to be out of state for one month during the summer ( not sure which month yet) in Alaska. And I will be out of the country for a week or two in Montreal. But I can plan around the Great America trip.

 

Amtrak between Sac and SJ is all unreserved and usually sells at the lowest fare. (check because there are dates that run higher fares) There are no rooms on those trains as they are usually only 4 or 5 cars, basically glorified commuter trains. You do have a lounge that does sell alcohol and food. If you get enough people together you can make a group reservation and the conductors will, USUALLY, section off a section of the car for you.
