Yeah but filmed in Canada, and a Canadian TV show are a bit different.

I think we are mainly discussing shows that are deliberatley set in Canada, or has an overwhelming Canadian content.

So is Smallville, a show based on the early adventures of Superman (you know the guy who fights for Truth Justice and the AMERICAN way) in Kansas. And for the first few seasons of the show so was X-files a show about American Federal agents investigating the paranormal.

Sadly not all shows shot here are Canadian. Generally to be Canadian the show requires more then a Canadian Location. Either the content must be about Canada or made by Canadians for a Canadian audience.

If we're on the topic of Canadian actors, I was just on the 24 website and I found out that the actors who play Jack, Teri and Kim Bauer, are all connected to Canada. Leslie Hope was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Elisha Cuthbert was born in Calgary, Alberta and Kiefer Sutherland is the grandson of Tommy Douglas. Plus, he lived here for a while so he might as well be called Canadian and his parents are both Canadian soooo... It can go either way. A show can be shot in the USA with Canadian actors being American and American shows can be up here with Canadian actors as Americans.

ah much of their prized talent opriginally belonged to us... We just don't have the oppertunities to offer them that our evil neighbours do.

Anyway, back to canada... Fraggle Rock is getting released on DVD!!!

You can't beat Corner Gas. Probably one of the funniest Canadian TV shows out there.
