Yes, it disgust me so much since I've known this case. Not just the crime, but also the injustice.

Yeah I mean Raider just fell prey to the classic, "too obsessed with his own notoriety" problem. But admittedly, his disappearing into a seemingly normal life was extremely creepy. That certainly is rare amongst serial killers.

I'm not saying Ridgway is the GOAT. I just feel like he should have been on the poll. But his case is certainly kind of astounding for the high kill count. But also for the fact that this idiot somehow managed to skill escape the police, even though they were right on his tail several times.

 

I think the police should take some blame for that.

I do not understand how that dude was considered handsome at the time. The 80s were a weird time, man.

But yeah, Ramirez was creepy as ****. And especially unique because he didn't really have a profile, killing everyone from kids to old ladies. Yet he also went on such a spree terror that he got himself caught in short order. Definitely up on the list of the craziest, most unique serial killers, though.

I really think a lot of serial killers could get away/had a long run because the police made too many mistakes, not just due to their own skills/preparation.
