Ya, I know tie and tai are pronounced the same, I just didn't check to see how you speellllllled it. I was saying TIE/TAI-coe because I think of the emphasis on the first sylable.

    Ah-ha! I gotcha, Ghent.

Yay, stevo! I think you may be the only other one besides me who chose Anakin. I love that name.

I really like the name Tinian for a girl, and Mara and Jaina too. If I had boys I'd name them Anakin, Jacen, or Lucas (that last one kills two birds with one stone- the kid would be named after both George and Luke) :)

Tinian is cool. Where is that from?

Tinian is from a short story in Tales From the Empire. It's called Tinian on Trial and was written by Kathy Tyers. She might be in some other stories too, but none that I've read.

I think Chewie would be a cool name to have named my son. :p

Other than that, I wouldn't want to give my son (or daughter) a Star Wars name. John and Paul were good enough. :)

Oh, I'd completely forgotten that story! Hmmm...

How about Winter? It's kind of weird, but most people would think it was just a name like Autumn or Summer, so it wouldn't be THAT weird.

How about this? The name is from a character from some of the RPG material, so probably less well known:

    Fable, from Fable Astin

i think this is a cool for a girl, so none of y'all steal it! ;)

    Jagged is awesome!

I am planning on giving one of my kids the middle name Thrawn. Seriously.

(Hmph I was talking on the phone to my bf and I was telling him about this thread and he said "Don't get any ideas")

I'd say he should worry more about the ideas you already have than the ones you'll get from us.

You REALLY mean to give your kid a name like Thrawn? Even for a middle name, that's pretty awful...

He'd probably end up being a dancer or something. That's usually how these things go.

For instance, I've always thought that the meaning of my name was inappropriate.

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with male dancers. I'm just saying that it's a profession that doesn't jive with the name "Jagged".
