    "Green Coruscant"

The Invasion of the yuuzhan vong shaped Coruscant into Yuuzhantar, destroyed and changed lots of Coruscant's infrastructure even more than the Imperial Civil war preceding the Emperor's Return had done.

    > Imported plants grow on, through, over and within buildings now...
    > The Western Sea was punctured like others and Coruscants lowest levels were flooded with Water...
    > Moving Coruscant closer to the Sun changed not only its temperature and climate so that it no longer needs orbital mirrors, it also melted the polar ice caps completely flooding the lower levels even more, while plant life and fungi grew further...
    > Destroyed and collapsed infrastructure and buildings sunk below the water level thickening the new "ground", while the polar region, now uncovered (no buildings and no ice!), presented lots of free habitable land that could be used and built over.. or cultivated...
    > Floods destroyed and filled lots of the former tunnel systems, electric systems malfunctioned because of shortcuts and new intelligent and animal lifeforms, imported and native, had to adapt...
    > with some moons destroyed and others moved or not moved with Coruscant, the gravity and seasonal effects on Coruscant also changed very much, causing much damage to the cityspace in the process, with earthquakes, vulcanic activity and orbital bombardement from parts of the destroyed moons doing the rest

Recaptured by the GFFA, Coruscant changed again, but not much. Structures were repaired, new buildings constructed and fungi and plantlife were reduced in some regions, while others were allowed to stay in favor of the new ecosystem they had to keep and live with. The World Brain, that the Vong had installed, and that Jacen had turned to the good cause, will overview the process of shaping and punish those who disrespect the new natural balance on Coruscant.

    > the new plant and animal life of Green Coruscant changed its orbital look slightly and helps against pollution...
    > new developed and installed electric and other systems help to keep Coruscant in shape, without having to rely on biotechnology, but also without having to disturb the natural balance, possibly Ithorian scientists helped here...
    > the huge water mass in the lowest and middle levels of Coruscant provide the option for ship traffic in these levels, settlements for aquatic lifeforms like Mon Calamari, Quarren, etc. and gives Coruscant a new touch (kinda like "Venecia/Venedig")...
    > polar free land with moderate temperatures can be used a farmland, holliday region or even for new settlements based on a more natural lifestyle...
    > the new/old/changed/moved moons, and coruscants altered path around the sun altered its calendar year, seasons and gravity, but also possibly bringing new landmasses into the city, with huge fractions of the former moon resting above destroyed cityscape or sinking into the new oceans...

Y'know, I've always loved the idea of living on a full-on city planet & now that it has a few more patches of green forests here & there, I'm still loving it. Seriously, not enough stories are written that take place on Coruscant or Nar Shadda. I love Coruscant!

Yeah, there's a difference between a city on the water and a city where the foundation levels are soaked and rotten.

Beyond that, Venice is not a very pleasant place to live.

So everyone there is going to die of cancer within the next ten years because of that underground oil slick?

... damn. We need to convince Jacen to spend more time at home.
