OOC: where's Scythe? and thanks whoever commended me for asking 10 questions in 6 posts. i'm not sure of the significance of it though.

IC:Well, Jaya, I joined the Rebellion (well the New Republic now)after the atlle of Endor.I was born on Corellia and Wedge Antilles was always my role model.

 

OOC: s'okay

IC: ah. i see. but i would've thought you would've idolized Han Solo as well.

OOC: Kenobi, what's your callsign?

 

OOC: I'm Green 3, I believe.

 

IC:"Maybe if I wanted to be a smuggler I would have , but since Wedge is a fighter pilot I want to be one too."

 

OOC: ok. thanks.

IC: *looks up at Scythe*
ah. i see. and do you mind if i ask you a personal quesiton?

 

"Not at all"

 

"um.....how old are you?"

 

"I'm twenty-two.How old are you?"

 

*a bit of blush rises to her face*
"15"

 

"Your 15 and yu want to be in a starfighter squad?That's pretty young"

OOC:In real life I'm 15.

 

OOC: in RL, i'm 15 too.

IC: "well, with my parents and my older dead cuz of the Empire, i had to exact some revenge on those Imps somehow. plus, i've got to help support my two l'il siblings who are staying on Corellia with my uncle, aunt, and cousins. times are hard there, too, you know."

 

"Yes they are hard."

*looks at her chrono as it beeps*
"well, it's late, and i better get some sleep if i want to perform well in the sims tomorrow. nice meeting you, Scythe"
*waves goddbye to Scythe as she gets up and leaves teh mess hall*
*walks down several corridors and heads into her quarters*

OOC: i really do have to. see you some time on Tuesday. bye.

 

Mark activated his moniter so he could see the sim pilots begin their work. It would be interesting to see what these newbies could do.

 

OOC: Mark, should i come into the sim room now?

 

OOC: Can we please start this now, BartSimpson?

 

OOC: I said on the last page that wings could lift when ready.

 

OOC: I'm going to go ahead and lauch the wings in the sim. Remember, its just a simple training run based on what you will do the first time you are in the actual snubfighters.


IC: The four X-wings launched from the hangar and began to circle around to strafe the stationary targets. Gabe was leading his wingman in when new blips began to appear on the sensor. TIE-Bombers, or dupes were streaming in towards the base and cut off the two wings. The TIE interceptors weren't far behind.


Squints= 54
Dupes=35
Time Limit=Base destruction in 15 minutes.

With the first signs of trouble, the first explosions on the hangar as the dupes dropped some bombs the comm screamed:"Green Group! This is base controll, get those TIE's busy so we can escape!"

 

OOC: BTW, Gabe's been in the rebellion for a year, so it's not his first time in a snubfighter. I assumed this was ok because you didn't say anything.

Gabe rolled hard portside, and while he was rolling blasted an interceptor directly in front of him, flying to the right. Then he flew straight in and picked up a tail, another interceptor, as he knew he would. He broke hard and dove, then circled back upwards, destroying the TIE while it was trying to dive back at him.

 

OOC: Ofcourse its not your first time, but this is a new squadron and you will be flying under Peetre's rules. So he just uses that whenever training a new squadron.

 

OOC:I'm a newbie to role playing and even with my "experience" from reading the books, I might not exactly "fly" right. So just bear with me.

My wing partner isn't online right now, what should I do about it?

IC: Adi spotted a dupe and went after it. As it spotted her, she dove under it and veered around. The thing finally locked on and she shot it, blowing it to pieces.

OOC:That wasn't too unrealistic, was it? It was probably lame...

 

OOC: That was fine, just remember you won't hit everything you lock onto. Oh and just because your wingmate isn't on right now dosen't mean you can't continue.

SIM TIME ELAPSED: One minute.


The medical transport Yavin's Pride left the hangar, it went straight for space while ten dupes broke off to pursue it.

"Green group, this is the captain of the Yavin's Pride. We need help here."

 

Adi immediately went to Yavin's Pride, doing barrel rolls and snap-rolls to lose the two dupes behind her. She locked on to one of the dupes next to the ship and fired...and missed. Adi shot down two and tried to lose a dupe on her tail. She couldn't shake it.

"This is Green 6. Need some help here." Adi said into her comm.
