Greensboro Toy Show Details

Join us on April 19th & 20th for the biggest Star Wars event that North Carolina has ever seen. An all star gala show To be held at the Greensboro Coliseum.

There will be 450 tables of Antique &
Collectibles Toys, Action figures, Movie Prop Replicas, Statues, Comic Books, Movie/Sportscards Memorabilia, Barbie, Nascar, Dolls, Anime, Movies, Gaming Machines, Die-cast, Hot wheels, and many more collectables.

Special Guests are to include Peter Mayhew, Jeremy Bulloch, Mike Quinn, Rusty Goffe, Mike Edmonds, Michael Sheard from the Star Wars Trilogy. Model Shannon Baska from The Expanded Universe, & Jedi\'s Amy Allen, Alan Ruscoe from Episode 2 Attack of the Clones and Author Aaron Allston of Star Wars ?The New Jedi Order? Novels.

All guests will be signing autographs and taking pictures both days. Times will be posted. Any or all actors are subject to change.

Internet & Fan Groups TheForce.net (tentative) and Rebelscum.com will be there, as well as other FanForce groups. The world's largest costuming club, The 501st Legion of Stormtroopers, and the Rebel Legion will be there gearing up for this years 1st Annual "Make-A-Wish" event. Volunteers from Make-A-Wish will be there helping the 501st collect charitable contributions.

All actors will be participating in discussion forums on Saturday 19th. Times will be posted the day of event. A percentage of the profits will

Since I'm sort of the unofficial Fan Force host (as there is no Greensboro FF yet), it was suggested that we all meet together at a common location to greet each other and to spend the day.

Everyone meet at the Decipher collectible card game tables at 10 AM.

 

I will try to be at the Table at 10am, if not i will come around alot to find you.

 

That sounds good to me, I look forward to seeing everyone again. I am now in the Greensboro area, and I was disappointed to find there is no FanForce group here, how could I go about getting one together?

Its almost time!!! Does anyone know if all the guest celebrities are going to be there both days signing autographs? Or are only certain guests going to be signing autographs on certain days, times ect.? I am trying to map out a plan of attack, so I will be able to take in everything. Hey, you guys think Mara would marry me if I asked? :-D I wonder if the force is strong enough for that!Hahahahahahahha!!

Stacey! - absolutely, I'll teach you LOTR TCG and SWCCG as soon as I see you again.

Padawan! - I don't like being the bearer of sad news, but Mara has already been force pushed into slightly a bit more than a kiss. Shannon will probably have a new baby in tow, but you need to find your own Mara Jade, or else you always can fantasize. Shannon hey - She's a lovely lady. I've met her at Deciphercon in 2000. You'll be charmed, and it won't be by force push, either.

Thanks for the warning Master Don, haha. I figured she was already married or something, I have already found my own personal Mara Jade, who will be with me at the Convention, but I look forward to meeting the real one very much, she has always been one of my favorite characters. I have one word..Wow!!!!!! It was sooo awesome!!! We actually got a chance to really talk to the celebrities and everything during the day. The panels they talked on were really interesting and dinner was chaotic but it was fun! Boba Fett in aromor for the first time in 22 years was so awesome!!! I got tons of autogrpahs and toys and plenty of pictures (the ones of us with Jeremy Bulloch in armor need to be scanned so will be up in a week or so). Heres what I have so far:

I will agree, it was awesome!!! I hate I never got to meet up with any of you, I got there alot later than planned, so I dont know if I missed all of you or not. I was a bit disappointed that Mara Jade wasnt there, at least not when I was around, did she show up at all? All of the stars were very nice and talkative, I got lots of autographs and bought several toys, I ran across some pieces I had been searching for a long time. The show was INCREDIBLE, I sure hope it returns next year! I hope all of you had as much fun as I did!!!

I asked Jeremy Bulloch about Mara Jade and he said she had to back out last minute due to being 8 months pregnant.

Actually I forgot to meet up wtih the tables at 10am so I don't know if the group got together or not.

Felix is planning on doing this again in 3 months...I think this would be great and all but I think it would be better ona yearly basis to keep it more of a novelty.

 

How was the turnout for the event? Were the lines tolerable? Judging from the pics, it seems like you had pretty decent access to the guests. Did Felix say whether the next one would be in Greensboro again or is he planning on moving around?

 

In 3 months? Wow, I was just hoping it would start to be an anual event, but I would definately not miss it for anything. Yeah, we had great access to the stars, the lines werent bad at all when I was there, all of them were very nice and happy to talk to you, sign items and answer any questions. I had a great time and hope to do it again sometime in the future, whether it is in 3 months or 12, I will be there!!!
