Oh my god. I was joking when I made that video and now Gregex is a thing.
I feel dirty.
His real name is Skippy. Gascon named him Gregor after his his long, lost uncle.
On a serious note the Republic Commando stuff is very popular. It started with the video game and tie in novel, which in turn spawned four more tie in novels, a couple short stories and lots of toys that came along way before TCW existed.
Not that "Gregor" has anything to do with any of that(short of his costume) but it does help explain why it has people interested.
Not only is there a lot of clone trooper & clone commando fans who watch TCW, but whenever there's clone troopers around on the show, let alone one in focus, people seem to get even more interested; it's after all called The Clone Wars and fans are expecting clone troopers so when they get some clone action, they seem to be more satisfied. I'm pretty sure if there would have been clones in the Void episode, more TCW watchers would have liked it.
I get more excited because I just like the clones, they've become my greatest interest in the show if not all of SW. I'm still not 100% sure why I even like them. I don't know if its because I like the depression of how sad and violent their stories are or its just something as shallow as the sentai fan in me liking the helmets and armor.
Big bowl of cornflakes, Skippy is.
I take it your not impressed, partner?
Already hate the amnesia-story, so no.lol
Oh come on! Its a clone that looks like a hobo, straight drinking bourbon out of the fridge who also has amnesia. How can you hate the poor bastard? =b
I wouldn't want a hobo washing my dishes.
He really does remind me of Nearl from Frisky Dingo.
You're nothing but a big hobophobe.
or drinking ur booze either
Really I think the beard and hair look cool. He's got even more hair than blondy Crys.
How come the three inch frog looks so mondo?
I think it looks like he is taking fashion pointers from Lux with that hair. =b
I hope Gregor will kick the frog's you know what at some point.
You know Gregor is a badass when...
Stupid forgetful clone.
I love how he gets his training/shooting skills back too.
I can't tell you how badly I want WAC and Gascon to die. And a heroic death would be too good for them. It has to be very inglorious and unimportant, with R2 and the others moving on and not looking back.
Following Void, I just don't hate either Gascon or WAC. I liked the way they were developed as foils each other like the life and death messages in the episode. If they go out, it needs be symbolic.
R2 falls on Gascon while simultaneously electrocuting WAC?
Rewatching the epic series trailer and the numbers Gregor goes up against...it's hard to see him surviving this. He's gonna have to be even more of a badass then we think he will be to survive it. At one point he's surrounded on all sides by droids closing in on him.
Hasn't it been said that Gregor will only be in the one episode? If so, that probably means he's killed.
He should be in 2 episodes
