Alright, so now for that more detailed personal introduction that I promised but never delivered upon...

    Miscellaneous details about myself

I am a 25 year old freelance advertising and web design specialist living in Mesa, Arizona, USA in my condo I have affectionately dubbed "Colcha Landing". I even have a framed print of the picture in my avatar (my character, that I got as a commission from an artist) framed and hanging on my wall above my kitchen table. I am a huge Metalhead and Norse Mythology/Viking enthusiast, as well as a Star Wars geek like all of you, and I love a good PC game from time to time.

About my history with EUC Grey Jedi

So, I started the whole Grey Jedi thing in the EUC back in 2005/2006 or so (my memory is kind of hazy), out of an RPG where I spun it off of a change from my Galactic Defender (EUC Jedi back then) character in an RPG that wasn't exactly well received, and ended up with me getting kicked out of the order. Being the man I am, I took action, and started my own thing, the Grey Avengers, the first EUC Grey Jedi. Yes, my vision was completely off from what a Grey Jedi truly was, but my intent was all in line, and I gained a pretty big following, and in turn most of those members helped keep everything afloat while I went MIA, taken hostage by the MMORPG, Star Wars Galaxies. When I came back, some time in 2010 I believe, I found a thriving order, however they were considering a restructuring at the time. If I recall correctly, I resisted a little at first, but then I budged, seeing that it was for the best. With the restructuring, came the new name, the Twilight Templars. Eventually, the reigns of leadership fell back into my hands, as well as the hands of Kahn_Iceay, in the form of dual grandmasters. However, after a while, things started to fall apart as the EUC's activity levels waned and much of our members struggled with Darth Real Life. When it came time for the boards to move, I decided not to repost a new thread, because I did not believe there would be any interest in it.

Well I was wrong, and I am glad that I was.

Well hopefully this new incarnation will go from strength to strength and will only be made richer with an experienced Grey like yourself to help us along.
Groups always wane but we can rise again from the ashes.
Good to have another Metal Head on board too [face_devil] and cool little summary that.

Eh, spare me the praise. I am but a mere mortal - each and every one of you has just as much potential, if not more than I do to achieve great things for this order.

I guess I should write a bit about myself too...

    Myself

Simple Star War fan, and traveling addict. Currently finishing up undergrad while moving onto grad school for Advertising. You can usually find me rolling through SoundCloud, reading a SW book, or at the gym.

History with the EUC Grey Jedi

Developed a curiosity for the Grey Jedi when I saw the OT and started questioning why dark side technique couldn't be used by light side users and vice-versa. As the Grey Jedi indentity grew in the EU, so did my beliefs. In an odd way it further grew when I learned more about Mandalorians and became a huge fan of Mandalorians before becoming a fan for Grey Jedi. In sense I followed what Bardan Jusik thought of the fight between Sith and Jedi. From there my my fandom for Grey Jedi and Mandalorian spiraled out of control, especially when the Je'daii Order was created in the EU. As for the boards, I have an older account from joining 5 or 6 years ago but never was that active. Rejoin back in February and had recently got around to asking about an EUC Grey Jedi Fanclub. After learning a fraction of the history of the EUC Grey Jedi, with the help Kev-Mas_Colcha s65horsey and the other former members, I decided to take a swing at starting a new Fanclub. And now here we are...

So, to get some GJ chat going who is everyone's personal favourite Grey Jedi(s)?

Who do you think should be considered Grey that aren't?

My favorite? Jolee Bindo. He was the closest to a true Grey Jedi by my definition of it.

Certainly the bench mark all others can be compared to as he didn't belong to any order. . . . which thus causes many of the arguments when it comes to the Grey Jedi.
I think Qui Gon was the first Jedi to really make me think about would I be able to follow the Jedi code and thus act outside of the dogma set down by the Council. He would probably be my choice if it wasn't for. . . .
Bardan Jusik. Reading the Karen Traviss novels I was enthralled by Bardan Jusik and his beliefs and ultimate step away from the Order to follow his own path . . . . so he's my choice, even if he chose not to use his powers. (most of the time;) )

I know this is hotly debated if he is a Grey Jedi or not, but I think he definitely embraced it. My favorite would be Revan, by far. I've yet to play KOTOR so I haven't met Jolee or anything, just only the stuff I've read

It's only hotly debated because of all the Grey Jedi hate combined with the fact that Revan is a pretty major character of a series. Regardless, the evidence is clear that he definitely has some Grey leanings.

I LOVE Revan as a character and know he's another hot topic concerning the Grey Jedi. I think people question whether he would be a Grey Jedi because he was always one way or the other . . . . but when you play KOTOR he's absolutely neutral, a man who relearns his force abilities for good or for evil which definitely points at grey to me. :)

I'm curious, is there a list of Grey Jedi? I looked on Wookiepedia but didn't find a "list" per-say. Maybe this could be a task for the Lore Keepers? To compile a list of Grey Jedi - those who aligned themselves as Grey, those who didn't align themselves as grey but followed the same morale, and those who see the Force the same as Grey Jedi but align themselves as part of another Sect.

I could compile a list, but it would include a lot of headcanon.

Then separate the two in the list? head and not-head? You and JourneymanFett could figure out the best way to do this list

The impression I got from the Dark Forces: Jedi Knight book, and Crosscurrent, was that Kyle, and his apprentice Jaden Korr, were at least somewhat Grey.

Iron_lord - I agree with you somewhat, but don't have enough information to make a complete assessment. Perhaps you could elaborate?

Kyle uses the Dark Side occasionally- but feels that there's no risk of him "falling to the Dark Side" - as long as he keeps his end goal in view. And Korr recalls being taught that the Force is a tool- that Light Side and Dark side distinctions are relatively unimportant.

Jaden Korr - Wouldn't he need to leave the Jedi Order to technically be considered for such a group?

Mace Windu's use of Vapaad, which skirts him close to the dark side doesn't disqualify him from leading the Old Jedi Order. I'd say if Jaden left the Jedi Order he most certianly would be a neutral'ish Jedi, but so long as he is still serving the Jedi Order, training new Jedi for that order and taking his orders directly from Luke Skywalker he is still a solid part of the lightside camp.

Jusik I completely agree with. Bindo I don't know enough about, but I know that is how he was presented in the game. Vergere based upon our first hand knoweldge of her POV's and character would qualify, but of course she is canonically speaking a Sith now.

Dass Jennir, more by force and circumstance than personal choice could be another. When he started to eliminate the evil via execution, and making elaborate plans to start a bloodbath between gangs - I don't think he would be called a lightsider anymore even if he opposes the Empire.
