Group Costume Project....Red Shirts for Starfest!

Regretfully, I will not be coming tonight.

Remember that post where I said that they were expecting snow today? Well we've had about three inches in the last two and a half hours, I can't see across the street, there's chain restrictions on every main road, and several accidents going eastbound.

So have fun!! I'm staying home!!!!

Spent the first part of the night designing jewelry for zelda, so only one shirt was made, it is up to the same level as the other 2, needs a collar and hemming. Fortunately this material is non-fraying type and if it comes to it, we're just going to cut them even.

So most Red Shirts are ready for damage of some sort. Still not sure how I'm going to get killed????

Alison - I've put the hem in your sleeves.

Katie - You too now have a hem, do you want me to do anything else?

Jana - Melody took both your shirts & last night she had all but the trim to do, so you need to get with her for your shirts.

Reya - Are you still going to pick up yours tonight?

Rachael - I have all your patches together, so now I hope I don't forget them

Jennay - All we have to do is kill you. So maybe we will do that at the con?

This should be fun.

 

I made that for fun last night... do we actually want some name tags like that? Shouldn't be too hard to print up some stickers of that to bring to the con and let people write their deaths on.

 

I've got it from there. Thank you so much! I'm going to see if I have all the equipment for my airbrush tonight, and if so, I'll just phaser myself a couple of times. Otherwise, I'm going with the big ugly beast slashes.

I'll be sure to bring some, we had 22 sets ordered... are we expecting more red shirts than were ordered? I think it's... depending on the size of the stickers either 6 or 8 per sheet... so.. I'll plan on making 24 of em...

I picked up our shirts from Zoo and (shh don't tell my boss) am working on ripping out the seam on the cuffs to redo them. I don't have a seam ripper though.. so i'm using a nail file...

 

I had one ordered, but I made 2 extra, so add 2 onto that total.

Anybody have some burn prosthetics? I'm thinking they'd be good to tack onto Scott's exposed parts.. but if not.. I just "sunburn" half of him... I'm gonna check Gott-A-Costume tonight (they're a couple blocks from me) on the way home, but I don't know if I'm prepared to buy some.

Jyn picked up a hicky tatoo for me. death by kirk!!! since i have too big ones i though that would be a good one!

 

I got 32 COD badges printed, just cause.. well.. if we want to rephrase or write too big on a first try or whatever... we've got extras lol. I sewed the patch crooked on mine too... ~sigh~ what I get for trying to sew while stressed.... but at least since I'm trampled by local wildlife I can just say the.... deer-like creature that smushed my heart with it's uncaring hoof twisted it a bit... lol so now I need to sew on Scott's badge, which I think I'll save that for tomorrow... and then we need to do our mods for the deaths. I'll at least outline footprints, might be coloring them in at con though lol...

OH yah, in addition to MA's hickey tattoos... I got a bunch of other stuff too scrape, cut and bruise tattoos, liquid latex, color wheels for bruises and the like... some face paint in zombie flesh color... and this nifty little concoction that puckers your skin and makes it look like a burn or a scar. Not too much of that though. I also got some blood and blood gel in one of the kits too... so if we need extra makeup, that's my list.

 

Hmmm... I think one of my shirts will be "Death by Carnivorous Plant" and the other I am thinking of either burning holes in or putting tire treads on.

What is everyone doing?

 

I'm thinking about being the exception to the rule, I'm the red shirt that LIVES!!

Or maybe vampires.
