Group Costume Project....Red Shirts for Starfest!

2 patches, Small and (Medium? <-I'll confirm with the wearer as soon as he gets back to me)

(these are all guy's sizes, right?)

 

I'm going to need another set for my friend.

so thats 2 patches, 1 XL and 1 XXL

 

2 patches, shirts Med and Large

 

as of this minute, 1 patch and 1 shirt, medium. (unless they look to fit small, then I want large. )

Possibly more as time goes on. It would be sweet if I could make some 'mini' red shirts for crew members that were shrunk.

Did you guys catch that I have braid/trim? I drive through Denver every Thursday evening and Sunday afternoon so I can get it to you pretty easily. Or I can mail what you want.

Have we picked out the shirts? Long sleeve or short?

 

I'll take some of that trim, if you don't mind mailing it to me.

haven't had a chance to decide which, since I'm at work and don't want to spend tooo much time online.

I burned a hole in one of my old T-shirts today to see what it would look like. I used my Martha Stewart Zippo kitchen lighter and at first it just made a small brown spot. I wanted it to be bigger so I put the lighter up to it and since I was outside I thought the wind blew the flame out so I pulled it away. Just as I did this great big spot appeared and grew and started smoking. Now it has this hole that looks ripped around the edges with about 1/2" to 1" brown burn marks around it. It looks pretty cool but I really wanted more burnage and I wanted it black. I'll keep experimenting on it. I have a friend who welds so I'm sure he can tell me the best way to burn a shirt.

I also think claw marks would be cool...

 

Sounds like a good blaster burn spot to me.

I don't think these are stretchy shirts, chief.

 

Could be phaser, or you could be the red shirt that made the mistake of beaming in SW. You could be the "killed in wrong genera" red shirt.

We cant use names, It has to be our cause of death. Doesnt have to be canon, accurate or even plausible. I think the more insane a death the better.

Not just you... I gave up.

 

These are the shirts I was thinking of ordering, they are men's sizes. If it's over 12 we get them for $4.54 each 2X $6.17 3X $6.34. Is that the cheapest we have seen them for? I think it is, plus they come in 2 & 3X for not much more. Most sites had them at $1 or $2 more each. Shipping is like $12.45 max. (Sorry, couldn't find long sleeve child shirts on the same site)

Maybe we can have a 'Red Shirt' meeting & work on them, etc. So we are doing this Saturday night, right?

There is way too much going on at this con this year, I've long ago gave up on the B-Day theme & would love just to hang out & party to party with whomever wants to, just because. We can have a "it's great to have great friends" party.

 

Talked to the vendor last night... We are SOOOOO covered for Engineering patches.

I'll give everyone until Monday to decide that they want one and place the order then. Everyone can pay me back for them.

edited to say I really dig the idea of varied causes of death. Makes more funnier.

 

I still think we need one of those halloween props so someone could have a hatchet burried in their shoulder "death due to primative"

 

I will have to check some joke/prop sites later for fake hatchets and arrows...just in case.
