London, ON Group Fund Raising

This thread is so that everyone can have say in how we raise money to pay for things, like giving gifts to the children at the Women's Centre, Children's Hospital and our public parties.

So, if anyone has any ideas on how to raise funds, you can post them here.


To stay with the rules of the form we should refrain from saying any dollar amounts. They can be sent through Private Messages.

 

We have an invitation to attend a birthday party for a 5 year old boy, on Saturday Jannuary 26, 2008, before noon for an hour to hour and a half. A donation will be made to the London Rogues for having around 6 people come and perform at the party.

It sounds like we need to do a little choeographing so saber fights and demos. Could we use this to get the saber training program off the ground?

 

I should be able to bring sabers to the garrison meeting.

 

I'll pick up some bokens today so that we don't have to use the sabers to practice with.

 

Might want to practice saber fights with some snow boots and parkas on since the party is at the end of January. Is there anything else we are going to do in addition to the saber fights, since it's probably not wise to have a battle (even a well choreographed one) in someones living room.

Another way to help raise money for events, is pop cans. If you can bring some in, every little bit helps. If you don't drink pop try asking a nabour or friends they maybe able to give them to you.

They had some probems with flooding last week and changed it back to Sat 26 but it's at 6:00 pm.

I'm not going to be able to be there. I'm trying to schedule a day at my Dad's to get my car fixed, and that will probably be the day I'm there.

 

Well, we are invited to a nother birthday party. It's Saturday March 22 around noon in Ingersal.
