Rain plan? We don't need no stinking rain plan. We won't melt. And if someone does, well.... cool!
We won't melt. And if someone does, well.... cool!
That all depends on whether we remembered to invite the Nazis to the picnic.
Yes there's a rain plan, it will just mean a moer cozy event, and remember, I have folks from another SW club coming to this event, so everything is covered food & drink wise.
just wanted to say thank you to Jeff and Wendy for hosting the picnic!! I had a great time and I think everyone else did as well!
and there were no bees!!
Ditto. Thanks for hosting. I just wish you guys lived a bit closer.
It was a great picnic AND it more or less didn't rain! Thanks again!
It was a very good picnic. I got some choice pictures too... *cackles*
I had fun; thanks! I wish you lived closer, though...
Well, it was a great pleasure hosting this shindig. Its apparent that fun was had by all.
To all of those who wished I lived closer: I've been saying the exact same thing about you guys for the last year or more that I've been hiking up to DC for our meetings/get-togethers.
I'm sure you appreciate the time and distance I endure to make it to a meeting practically every month.
I heard rumblings that people might be keen to the idea of a 4th of July barbecue, and/or a Labor Day get-together for those not trekking to DragonCon. All scenarios are a good possibility.
The picnic was great fun! Again, a big thanks to Jeff and Wendy for hosting, and also to Wendy for putting it all together!
I'll add my voice to the well-deserved "Thanks!".
Also, I think the idea of a 4th of July cookout is absolutely splendid!
Hopefully I'll have that Sunday off so I can attend.
4th of July sounds good to me, so if anyone is interested, starting posting now so I can get an idea of how many people want to go.
Wendy, put me down as a possibility right now. And if there's local fireworks near Jeff's place, maybe we could all have a cookout in the afternoon, then go see fireworks in the evening.
You might want to start a new thread for this, not everyone will be checking this one.
And since I always do what my CR tells me to do......
Just wanted to pass along our heartfelt "Thanks!" for hosting the picnic. We had a great time and it was great seeing you all agian and meeting some of you for the first time. I'm not sure what's up with the 4th as yet, but if we can swing it, we'll be there.
Thanks again guys!!
