Knighting Ceremony for Kassokay Acky

Kassokay Acky took a deep breath as the old wooden doors to the ceremony chambers creaked open. Despite the temple mostly being durosteel and concrete, the original builders had felt that among the new, there is still a place for the old. Kassokay smiled at the thought; he had served on a special crimes unit on Coruscant for 18 years before he found his way to the guardians of the light. The Twi'lek had been through a Jedi knighting ceremony once before, but this felt different, this was a new chapter in his story.

He began to walk down the ceremonial hall, and saw the council standing at the center. The rest of the Guardians lined the walls; their hoods were down allowing one to see the diverse number of cultures in their ranks. As Kassokay continued to walk, the lights in the room went almost entirely dark.

The ceremonial hall has no windows, the path straight forward to the council was the only area that was illuminated, The path was a strip of what appeared to be Adegan crystals. The ground only lite up a bit around the feet of the person in the center of the room, allowing for Acky to be the only visible thing in the room.

Master Tehanis smiled at her apprentice as he reached the council.

Master Chetan began the ceremony by igniting his lightsaber along with the rest of the council Their diverse blade colors were now the only illumination in the room. "Kneel Padawan Acky" Master Chetan said.

Kassokay knelt before the council, his robes ruffling against the cold stone floor.

Master Chetan lowered his blade to Acky's shoulder "By the right of the Council, by the will of the Force, I dub thee..." and without a seconds hesitation, as if it was second nature, the Jedi Master sliced Kassokay's Padawan braid cleanly off.

"Jedi Knight, Guardian of Light"

At that, the Adegan crystal floor lite up completely, and thus the Beacon of Light spontaneously ignited; setting the Sardonia Prime sky ablaze. The roof of the ceremonial chamber slid open revealing the beautiful light-show above them.

Five X-83 TwinTail starfighters flew overhead, fireworks being left behind in their wake. The Jedi all applauded for Acky as he stood up grinning Iekku to lekku Knight Edo brought out a platter of Wookiee cookies and left-over Wookiee masks "we need to use em more to get our money's worth" she had said. Soon half the order were in wookiee costumes, drinking punch, and having sparring matched.
