Jedi and Attachments.
I think Jedi should be carefull with Attachments. They have a duty to protect the galaxy and having a family would I think motivate many Jedi to put their loved ones safety above the galaxy. Also the worry that something might happen to ones family could become a way to the dark side. Jedi like Anakin Skywalker fell because they wanted to protect their loved ones and eventually put that desire above everything else.
And of course having force sensetive children might lead to them being included in the order as well. And the life of a Jedi isn't easy and can become very dangerous. Having ones children raised in the order means that they will life a harsh and potentially short life.

But I'm not completly against attchments, blocking of any affection can make one feel bitter and lonley. And Jedi should defently be allowed to enjoy some happiness for themselfes.
So I think that Jedi should be allowed to have a family and people they are attatched to. But they should be a little carefull with it.

You know what this means my Padawan? Our time is nearly done. Please have patience with the Masters as we are all dealing with a bout of DRL (Darth Real Life) and on one front at least a case of LRL (Light Real Life). . .impressive I know, but we shall be on the case behind the scenes as time permits.

 

Bardan_Jusik I am still inactive on the rooster, could you update that?

 

Won't the rooster complain if you get active on it?

Sorry everyone for the lack of update for Legacy of the Guardians. I had a busy week that ended up with my wife unexpectedly in the hospital the last couple of days. She's fine now and back home (well technically she's at work at the moment) but I was understandably more concerned with that than in getting the update finished. I did make some progress on it earlier in the week however, and it should be posted early next week.

Thane kyrell, I'll go fix your status on the roster now.

I just spent two weeks in Northern India internet-free. Nice to have a little hiatus from the digital world. Looks like I have some catching up to do around here.

Back in my usual place, returned form a little self-imposed exile. Most of my "adventures" were of the meditative variety, so not much tangible to share. The monsoon has begun here finally and all is well as I settle back in. How are things with the GoL?

I am most impressed and humbly pleased at how well the GoL is flourishing. Nearly 25 pages of Jedi activity in the last two months since I last stepped foot within these Temple walls.
