Guess the Episode III title!

After seeing AOTC, I thought the perfect title for Ep3 would be:

The End of the Jedi

Think about it in terms of the whole story with the other titles and it makes a lot of sense. "The End of the Jedi", then "A New Hope" and finally, "Return of the Jedi".

Return of the Jedi refers to Luke of course. All of the jedi were either dead or hermits until Luke appears on the scene, so he IS the return of the jedi. Remember, the original title of ROTJ was going to be the Revenge of the Jedi. Although... I guess that could be construed to refer to Anakin too.

Star Wars: Episode 3: No matter what I name it, you'll complain about a cheesy title, yet you'll see the move in theaters, and the title will make more sense after you see the movie anyways.

That would win the longest movie title, beating out:
Don't be a menace to south central while drinking your juice in the hood

 

before reading this thread I have been thinking that it will be called "Rise of the Empire", and since the first poster included it in his/her list, i'm going to stick with that!

It has to have a cheesy sci-fi serial type name. I definately think "Rise of the Empire" has a chance at the title.

There is even a chance it will be called "The Clone Wars" since it apparently takes place in Ep3 instead of Ep2, but I doubt Lucas will have the word "Clone" in two titles.

I know georgy loves those serial titles. it's gotta be something like that.

 

I once again tell you all that "of the" will not appear in the title again. There have been two in the titles.

The Dark Empire and Hours of Darkness are closer to the truth then Rise of the Empire.

We've had "The" already. We've had "of the" already.

I think it's time for "A" or "An".

Also keep in mind that his prequel titles seem to reflect the indiana jones chronicles. The Phantom Menace and The Phantom Train of Doom. Attack of the Clones and Attack of the Hawkmen.
